Zen -duplicate setup on pc

Just got this and trying to set things up on my zen. I change things in the/Zen Media Explorer, but the changes don't go to player. I just found that I have two folders on my pc for the Zen. One says Zen with Storage Media right underneath. The other is under Zen Media Explorer, Creative Zen,Media Library. Some files are the same and some aren't. Which folder is the correct one or how do I get them to work together?
Thanks!! Gem

Thanks for your quick response! That clears up that questions. : -) Guess what I am trying to do is...I don't want all my pictures and music sync'd to my Zen. so I was trying to make the Explorer be what I wanted on the Zen and then to manually sync this. So some of the Storage media and the Explorer don't match. And then Windows Media Player gets involved which looks slightly different again. What do I do?

My creative zen m is not showing up on my laptop when i hook it up it don't show up at all i download the zen thing for it just not showing up

Sometimes, for reasons unknown, one setting changes in the Zen Media Explorer. If you can't see your Zen, But can see your media explorer, open it and then click on the tools tab. You should see a checkbox saying, "show my player as portable device". Re-check this box, close and re-open my computer and it should be there.

How can i connect my creative zen with my pc if i connect creative zen vith computer i cant find it in My Computer

I had a similar problem after I had used my Zen a few times. I plugged the device into my PC and it sounded like windows was trying to connect to to the Zen but didn't make the normal two tone USB device connection sound. It was more mono-tone. I tried reinstalling the Zen Media Explorer and that didn't do anything. I later looked at the Zen under windows device manager and noticed windows marked the Zen as having issues. I right clicked on the device and picked un-install driver. I then unplugged the Zen and plugged it back into my PC to allow driver re-install. I was able to connect to the zen after that.

Creative zen micro stuck in recovery mode

To Fix any problems with broken firmware form attempted “playsforsure”
firmware updates etc where your pc finds it as a 20mb drive and it sits
in recovery mode and does bugger all:
1. Uninstall all creative software & drivers
2. Uninstall Media Player 11 and Media Player 11 runtime (will require a
reboot for each thing). This is done by going to add/remove programs and
uninstalling (this will put your pc back to wmp10).
3. Re-install the Zen Driver from the creative website and reboot (I just reloaded Media Explorer using my ZMP install CD).
4, Plug Zen in.
5, Make sure you have the firmware update ready, run it but don’t click
the language bit yet), leave the mouse hovering over your language
selection. (for ZMP, just start firmware exe file, there is no language selection. You can get the firmware update from Creative’s site, go to SUPPORT and then DOWNLOADS).
6. On the Zen- select “reload OS” (on ZMP I believe it is Erase or Reload Firmware, something like that, don’t have it in front of me).
7. As soon as it flashes up “reload new firmware now via USB” click the
language button
8. Now the pc should find it and allow you to re-load the
firmware. (it may take a few attempts)
9. Once complete, click close and restart the pc. Everything should now
be fine.
10. Once all is working, you can re-install WMP11 and it will work fine.

[zen V+ 1Gb] zen won't allow me (crash) to upload further a certain storage size

try downloading the MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?
