My dishwasher has a checkvalve at the back behind the screen and when it goes the pump just recirculates water in the tub. Make sure the solenoid on the bottom is actuating. If the screen at the back is really dirty, it might be a sign that the checkvalve is gone. Hope that helps. My dishwasher is a GE.

My smeg dishwasher runs a cycle for about 5mins then bleeps to say it’s finished.. then drains.. it doesn’t even run kind enough to release the tablet.

Sounds kinda funny but try unplugging they dishwasher for about 3 minutes where there's no power running to it. The plug should be underneath your sink. Then plug it back in and turn it on and see if it will cycle

Tabletop dishwasher not draining

this will sound silly but the amount of times this has been the cause will justify the question, if the drain hose is conected to a spout off the sink trap, has the plug at the base of the spout been removed to allow water to drain?

Otherwise >

disconect the power then tilt the dishwasher about 45 degrees to the front then back, hold it in each position for about 10 seconds, water will come out so be prepared for that. back to level and try it again,

After dishwasher run through it's cycle, the water does not drain properly and remains in bottom of the dishwasher

Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

I have an older model kelvinator dishwasher and there is water in the bottom of the dishwashwer and the diswasher will start and then stop but will go through all of the cycles. It just doesn't do the...

Pull the dishwasher out of the slot. There is a motor underneath that runs the pump to drain it. The usual cause is the it has a bad connection.

My dishwasher wont drain.. water stays in the tank..

When you run a dishwasher, there is usually food particles left over from a cycle. First thing is to check the lent screen. The lent screen is located on the bottom usually in the back of the dishwasher. If you want to put some gloves on and remove it and turn on the drain cycle on your dishwasher. If that doesn't do it turn off the power to the dishwasher by the breaker box, and check your hoses inside the dishwasher.

Sounds as though the drain is blocked partially. E4 is the overfill code. Try cleaning out the drain.
