Question about Dell (E210882) Motherboard
I am trying to upgrade a Dimension 1100 with the e210882 motherboard. am about to purchase 2*1gb memory sticks:-
GB PC3200 DDR 400 RAM 400Mhz 2x 1GB 2 GB G DIMM MEMORY
I am aware that my system can only handle 2 gig max.
These sticks are 1 gig each.
Specifications:2GB (1GB x2 KIT) 400MHZ 184PIN DDR Memory, No-ECC. Higher performance over mainstream PC100 or PC133 memory. Up to 3.2 GB/sec of peak bandwidth using PC3200 DIMMs (with DDR400 memory chips). JEDEC Standard. 184 pin DIMM, non-ECC. DIMM Lead pitch: 1.27 mm. 2.5 Volts. SSTL-2 I/O Interface. SPD Support. Support for Memory Chip Stacking.
Apparently this memory is high density. Does anyone know if this memory will work on this motherboard?????

the memory you're about to purchase will not work. the maximum gig that the computer can handle per stick is only 1 gig. this system is not designed for 4 gig barrier.
hope this helps.
