Question about HP LaserJet 3050 All-In-One Printer
I have a line in the middle of the page that I am copying.
on a hp laserjet 3050.
Pull the Top Loading Document Feeder up towards you from the back, to open and view the clear strip (perspex). I also had this problem, and fixed it by cleaning this strip. for future reference don't use whiteout on papers your going to fax/copy ;)

If your print jobs direct from the computer or faxes received come out ok then you probably have some dirt on the optical reader.
This is where the paper goes through the machine and is read by the printer and either reprinted or faxed. Pop open the top cover and you will see a clear strip (perspex) going from side to side, check this for any dirt or stick stuff and clean it off.
