Same thing is happening on my rs620g. It started after I was cleaning it with air and uncliped the fan over the cpu to remove it and the cpu came off with it. I put it all back together correctly and mine will power up but make no beeps. I checked ram and video card. Both are fine. What did I do the cpu chip? Do I need to grease it? There was still some there.
I replaced the ram, vga card at this point. The monitor and cable works fine on another computer. Could this be a mother board? I see a green light on the mb. The HDD is trying to boot but w/o display i can't confirm.any ideas?
I feel this is not a big problem. if u hear a beep of ram on beap on boot then ram is ok just short it and check for displaay. check ur cpu socket it may be loose. if u don hear a beep on boot change the ram and ur problem will be solved

There must be a problem with your power switch on your computer casing, or motherboard or power supply.
Detach your power supply and try this, to check if your power supply really works. If the auxiliary fan will turn, your power supply is good
Testing your power supply and motherboard as seen on photo
If the cpu cooling fan and power supply did not turn the fan, but you have checked already the power supply that is working then you can conclude that your motherboard is need to be replace. But the power supply and motherboard and working, meaning to say your computer casing need to be replace or try fixing the contact of the switches attach to your casing.
If you see no lights, hear no fans running, no disk drives running then
the problem is probably a bad power supply or motherboard. Get a quote
from your local computer shop then try the guys at:
They will fix it and ship it back by Fedex or UPS. They are very economical and good.
hi!, ok, is there any voltage appear in one of the terminal of psu or power supply is the fan of psu is running,if you suspected your psu is running or not try to unplug and disconnect your psu from the mother board, then bigger socket that contain 24 pin with different color of your psu try to connect the two pin that has a color blue and green by a small wire about 2 inches slotted at both end.then put power if the fan is run its good may be your memory or video card or processor is defected if your psu does not run replace.
I would start by replacing the power cable to the monitor. If you don't hear your hard drive then maybe the power cable to your power supply is bad or you have a bad power supply. So first make sure the cable that goes from the wall to the power supply is good. If it is good make sure the power supply is turning on. If it is then make sure that the power cable from either the wall or your computer to the monitor is good.
I have run into this a few times and it has turned out to be a bad motherboard. Also the power supply they put in the emachine is not very good. The power supply in them has caused the motherboard to blow.Im not saying it is your motherboard, that is just a good possibility.Goodluck
Hi, there is a possibility that the fan is self is defective or power supply cannot supply the fan completely thats why when you turned it on you never hear it running. ICheck the fan connection if is properly connected then using a voltmeter check the voltage supply in the fan it should be +12V or you can replace the it with a reliable one so that you can determin if the fan is defective or not.
