Ok I have now replaced the RAM with no change. I can hear the HDD trying to boot.I hear no beeps My monitor reads no signal, but this is always the case until the unit boots.
tell me more..like..some pc speaker sounds?no image on screen?do you hear the HDD running?because untill now..it sounds like a video card problem..lets clear this to understand if there really is the VGA fault.
i feel this is not a big problem. if u hear a beep of ram on beap on boot then ram is ok just short it and check for displaay. check ur cpu socket it may be loose. if u don hear a beep on boot change the ram and ur problem will be solved

Same thing is happening on my rs620g. It started after I was cleaning it with air and uncliped the fan over the cpu to remove it and the cpu came off with it. I put it all back together correctly and mine will power up but make no beeps. I checked ram and video card. Both are fine. What did I do the cpu chip? Do I need to grease it? There was still some there.

i replaced the ram, vga card at this point. The monitor and cable works fine on another computer. Could this be a mother board? I see a green light on the mb. The HDD is trying to boot but w/o display i can't confirm.any ideas?
