Same thing is happening on my rs620g. It started after I was cleaning it with air and uncliped the fan over the cpu to remove it and the cpu came off with it. I put it all back together correctly and mine will power up but make no beeps. I checked ram and video card. Both are fine. What did I do the cpu chip? Do I need to grease it? There was still some there.

I replaced the ram, vga card at this point. The monitor and cable works fine on another computer. Could this be a mother board? I see a green light on the mb. The HDD is trying to boot but w/o display i can't confirm.any ideas?

I feel this is not a big problem. if u hear a beep of ram on beap on boot then ram is ok just short it and check for displaay. check ur cpu socket it may be loose. if u don hear a beep on boot change the ram and ur problem will be solved

  • If you hear the fans, I would have it taken to a repair shop and have the CPU checked and the memory sticks, they could be bad.

P8P67 EVO Won't Boot with power to board

This is almost always the power supply. How exactly did you "check the power supply"? You checked all 12 or so voltage outs under load?

If replacing the power supply doesn't work, replace the motherboard.

Fan won't run / won't cool

It may have a faulty compressor relay or overload, best to change both at the same time. It's either that or a bad compressor.

My computer won't boot up and the orange light just stays on. The moniter is working, the fans in the power supply is working

Could be your motherboard. Does anything come up on the screen at all when you boot up? Do you hear a beep at startup? Also check to make sure your hard drive is spinning just to be sure.

I replaced the fuses with the proper ones thinking that that was why fan on ac unit was not on. I did the 24 hour off on electrical panel, and replaced fuses, now i hear a click then a humming sound coming...

The humm you hear is the compressor. Turn your unit on and let it run for a couple minutes and grab the large pipe at the outdoor unit. If it's cold, your compressor is running. If your fan didn't turn on, there is a good chance your motor is fried. It could be your contactor, but I doubt it. The compressor and fan are wired through the same contactor, so when one comes on, so does the other. DO NOT run your unit for more than a minute or two with the outdoor fan not running. If you continue to run it, it's going to go out on high pressure and turn back on, and so on, and so on, until it fries the compressor.

My air is 82 inside but the unit outside is blowing a cool air instead of hot/warm like our neighbors.

If the unit is not blowing warm/hot air then either your compressor isn't working or your refrigerant charge is low. Make ure that the compressor is running. If you can't hear it over the fan you can disconnect a fan lead and then see if you hear it. If it's not running then verify that it has power to it then check the capacitor. If you don't have a meter to check it with then you can take it to a heating and air supply to get it checked. Replace it if necessary. If the capacitor is good then check the compressor windings for continuity using and ohmmeter. If the compressor is running then get the refrigerant charge checked.

I would suggest getting a schematic of the set and using a multimeter looking at the power supply test points to determine what is happening exactly with the power supply.
