Ok. First thing, remove the battery and the power cord. Make sure you have backed up all your important information. Then, get a set of phillips screw drivers and a small flat head screw driver.
Flip your laptop so the bottom of it is what you see. With the keyboard/touchpad area facing towards you, look at the cover on your left hand side with a rectangular shape (next to it, above it, is another one square-shape. Just for reference). Loose up the two screws that secures the hard drive/bay cover against the laptop and slide the cover out towards the outside of the laptop itself. If it is sitting tight, use a pen tip or the flat head screw driver (just be careful while using this one not to scratch the plastic of your pc) to push it gently. The Hard Drive comes attached to the hard drive cover, so be careful to pay attention not to damage the cover component. Remove the hard drive and secure the new one in place. Now do this steps the opposite way. Good luck, hope it helps.

P.S.: If this explanation helped you out, please leave a review.

Gateway ML6732 Laptop Fan warning

I would replace the fan right of the bat, it has a high failure rate, also remove the heatsink to check the thermal grease is not hard, if it is, remove with rubbing alcohol and paper towel along with the processor, then apply fresh compound to both and assemble.

Gateway ML6732 Crashed ...NEED help

Seems you have OS (first guess) problem so if you have recovery disk then insert it in DVD/CD driver and reboot your laptop.
And follow the instructions appeared on sreen and when you reach installation mode choose repair one if you wanna repair OS otherwise choose fresh Installation.
once you are done you should be good to go and if you have Hardware problems then your system will show the bugs on screen during installation period.
oh! if you have any external drives (Thumb drive, Ipod) plugged in then remove before you start above procedure because due to external drives also it happens if you dont have any plugged in external drives then follow the above procedure.
Thank you and post back if any thing changes.
