After removing the virus ... some of the system file has became unstable .... so you are facing this type of problem ....
so the solution is to reinstall the windows xp professional sp2 again ....
if you have very important programs which you dont have back up then just you have to do is you start the set up by boot disk of windows xp sp2 (actually all windows cd s will be the boot disk only if we just copy the exact windows cd with out changing anything especially "cdlabel")
so just insert the boot disk cd in to the drive and make the boot from cd (it must be done b4 os loads) so just have the check in bios that the first boot device is cdrom and then boot the set from cd then it will ask "press enter to install winxp" you must press enter then after it will detect the partitions for "previously installed operating system" if it detect the installed "windows xp" means they it will prompt for repair option here... you must press R here ... if you press R at the first time before detecting i mean in the previous step than this means it will take you to recovery console ....
so besure to follow these steps....
after giving repair it will repair and ur problem will be solved

Try getting a virus scanner and remover. There is a free version by Google called the Norton Security Scan, and will let you know if you still have any viruses in your computer. If you do, you will need to get this fixed for your computer to work at its maximum!. I recommend Defender Pro where you can get it at WalMart for !9.99. Works wonders!

When i am trying to upgrade service pack it showing an error windowssystem32savedump.exe

I think it's possible that your computer is infected with the ramnit virus that replaces the savedump.exe file in windows/system32

The virus protects itself to prevent it being erased which would be the case if you are attempting to overwrite update the file.

Run an couple of antivirus programs and see if its detected.

My anti virus detect a virus... the virus is automatically remove fro my pc???

If the virus has automatically been removed from your PC, that means that the virus is no longer present on your pc, so you would not be infected by that virus anymore

however if you have been infected with a virus it's a good idea to do a full system scan to see if there is any other virus infections in your machine.
