Sounds like the shutter has not fully cocked, which often happens when you get to the end of a film and the film advance won't move on a full frame. Try the film rewind crank(gently). If it is not able to turn either way, then you have used up a film and have to rewind it and remove it from the camera. You will then be able to advance the film wind lever to finish cocking the shutter and it will fire as normal.
Do the following procedure to fix this problem.Save all pictures to your computer turn camera on, press the menu/ok button, select Setup, press ok. Select frame number and change frame No. to renew, press ok.
Press the menu/ok button, select Setup, press ok again.
Select Format, press ok / ok until the card is formatted.
Now the counter should start over with 100.0001 again.
Set frame no. back to Cont. to avoid to many images with the same filename.
Your Counter has reached 999.999 Here's what you do. Make sure you have no pictures on your card to start with. Place the card in the camera and turn it on. Press "Menu" and go to the "Set" menu and select "Format". This will wipe your card completely clean. When this is done select "Frame No" in the set up menu and set it to "Renew". Now come out of the menu options and take a picture. When you review your picture the counter should read 100.001 Now go back to the set up menu and reselect "Frame no." and set to continuous ("Cont.") Happy snapping
Try going in to the "setup" menu and change the frame numbering from "continuous" to "renew", if it is not already done. Sounds like you are on the continuous setting which keeps adding numbers, even though you've erased many. Going to renew starts the numbering over so it keeps reusing previous numbers.
I had the same problem. Once it said "Memory Full" there's no way to get rid of it how much you try to recover, format the card, reset the camera with no avail. I had thought the camera was out of order. Then googled around and come across with this workaround. When nothing else works for you just take out the memory card. Take a picture to the internal memory of the camera and then insert the card. Voila!! you can enjoy our camera. I guess this is a software bug. The camera can not reset the memory card full flag before you take a picture to the internal memory.
