Question about AEG Lavamat 88840 Front Load Washer

Please help I own an AEG 6955 sensorlogic washing machine. This morning I did my laundry, but an error occurred at the end of the program: F9. My laundry was ready, there was no water left in the machine (or under it..) and it was as dry as always (I had heard the machine rotate). My manual only mentions F1 and F2 in case of problems. I tried to reset, but that didn't work. I took the power of, checked water supply and filter, but that didn't word either. I bought this machine in '97, and it worked perfect until now. Is it worth repairing, and what could be the problem?

Your machine is draining too slowly. When it initiates a drain cycle, the water level switch is sensing the water level is still too high after 60 seconds so the computerplease help - 1.gif stops and generates this fault code.

Here are the things to check;

* Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or inked.
* Check Wire Harness connectors to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
* Check/Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects
* Check for Drain Pump Failure
* Check the Inlet Valve for proper shut off
* Check the Pressure switch for proper operation

to clear the error code: whilst holding the pre wash and short wash buttons in together turn the control knob from off to gentle spin, this will clear the fault code and run a LED test. (if all goes weel) F9 means carbon brushes need to be replaced

I have a AEG lavamat 6955 sensorlogic front loader I had the motor changed 5 years ago. The washing machine still works but the drum is tight and does not turn. Even when the machine is off. It is...

Could be that the Inner Drum Spindle is broken, this is a 3 arm spider-ish bracket that holds the inner drum. To test this theory, see if you can lift the inner drum up & down from the door side, you will be able to feel if it is broken.

Hope this helps.

I have an AEG 6955 washing maching about 14 years old. Recently the program has stopped on many occasions with code F1 usually on first fill. Other times it works OK. The manual says this is no water....

Yes changeing the valve will fix it . around £30. On one occaision only I have come across the detergent dispensor top being blocked up enough to slow down the fill. on your machine it allows 5mins if this is exceeded F1 is displayed and prog stopped.

Aeg oko lavamat 6555 cannot open door no response to buttons F9 flashing

Hi

Error code F9 means an error with motor or motor tacho failure. Try resetting the error by pressing quick and prewashing buttons together while turning the knob to gentle spin. All LED's will glow, now turn the knob back to Off and the machine should work. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.
