Format the card from PC then use . if same msg again then watch your manual , i think your camera does not support 2 GB Memory card.

Purchased a 2gb xd high speed for my a345. When the card was inserted and the camera powered up there was a card read error meassage. Returned the 1gb card and no meassage

The camera may not be able to read the 2gb card. If the 2gb card is SDHC and the old card is not that is the problem. Many older cameras cannot take the newer SDHC cards. Find another 1gb that is not SDHC.

I have a fujifilm finePix A345 camera and i am having trouble formatting the xD picture card. it's a 2GB card. do they work in this model of camera? i format the card but it still says card error.

Are you formatting it in the camera or the computer? It should be done in the camera.

You may need to call Fuji and see if the 2gb xD card is compatible to your camera model. It's possible that Fuji can provide you with steps to make the card compatible to that camera. Fuji telephone number is 800-800-3854 option 1
