Are you getting a Blue Screen error and can't read it because the computer keeps restarting?

If So, turn off the computer, then turn it on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see Safe Mode. Scroll down past safe mode and you will see an option to Disable Automatic Restart. The next time you boot up you will be able to see the error message.

If it is a Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) error message, you might need a system disc.

My computer keeps restarting usually when playing a movie

Maybe driver related. Do you get a blue screen or it just shuts down instantly? Try installing the latest drivers for your video card.

    Hi,

Blue screens causes your system not to boot properly. It could be a corrupted video driver, system registry or could be a problem with a hardware component of' your system. Windows update causes also blue screens and incompatible application installed in the system as well.

You may try to boot your computer to following option.

    Last known good configuration
    Safe mode with networking.

    1. Restart the system. At the moment you are turning on your system. After pressing the power button.. Keep on tapping F8 key (on/off) until you have the message "Advanced boot option"

    2. Select the 1st option: Last known good configuration.. Press Enter until you have your login screen. If it doesn't work you may try the second option which is the "safe mode with networking".

If the two option won't work, you may need to try repairing the operating system or reinstall windows.

    Keep me posted.

    Thanks.
