Maximum memory capacity in Kodak EasyShare C140

The C140 works with SD and SDHC cards, up to 32GB in size. By swapping memory cards, you have essentially unlimited memory capacity.

You may use any brand SD/SDHC cards, though personally I would stick with the major brands.

Need cd for kodak easyshare c140

You may download Kodak software and more from here.
Bear in mind that you don't need Kodak software in order to use your Kodak camera.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Hi, l have a kodak printer easy share 5500. I can't find the cd software to install the software onto my computer. Are you able to tell me how l can get another cd.thanks mary

Mary, you can download the software from http://download.Kodak.com/digital/software/easyShare/v8_3_0/install_easyshare.exe

Press the SAVE button, find a place on your hard drive and save the file. Double click the install_easyshare.exe file and it will install the file. Follow the instructions below.

The file is good for KODAK EASYSHARE Software - WINDOWS Operating Systems
Installation Instructions
  1. Verify that your computer meets the system requirements. note.gif NOTE: APPLE QUICKTIME Player is required for some software features. Visit APPLE to download the latest version of the QUICKTIME Player.
  2. Disconnect all accessory devices from your computer (digital camera, camera dock, printer dock, photo printer, card reader, etc.).
  3. Verify that you logged on to the computer using the administrator account.
  4. Close all programs.
  5. Download the software, then follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
  6. To launch the software select Start > Programs > Kodak > Kodak EasyShare > Kodak Easyshare software.
important.gif IMPORTANT: If you have a large picture collection, allow a few minutes after your computer restarts before starting EASYSHARE Software. EASYSHARE Software windows appear after your previous picture catalog has been updated

After the installation are completed, reboot if not asked to do so. You can copy the install_easyshare.exe file to a CD for later installation if needed.

Good luck and post back to let me know how it went.

My Kodak Easyshare camera won't transfer photos to the computer, but I can have them printed in drugstores, etc. What am I missing? Operator error I'm sure! Thanks!!

Try to install the software on your computer first. Here are the steps:

  1. Close all software applications that are open on your computer (including anti-virus software).
  2. Place the Kodak EasyShare software CD into the CD-ROM drive.
  3. Install the software:
spacer.gif Windows OS-based computer-if the install window does not appear, choose Run from the Start menu and type d:\setup.exe where d is the drive letter that contains the CD.
Mac OS X-double-click the CD icon on the desktop, then click the Install icon.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
spacer.gif Windows OS-based computer-select Complete to automatically install the most commonly used applications. Select Custom to choose the applications you wish to install.
Mac OS X-follow the on-screen instructions.
NOTE: When prompted, take a few minutes to electronically register your camera and software. This lets you receive information regarding software updates and registers some of the products included with the camera. You must be connected to your Internet service provider to register electronically. To register later, see www.kodak.com/go/register.
  5. Restart the computer. If you turned off anti-virus software, turn it back on. See the anti-virus software manual for details.
For information on the software applications included on the Kodak EasyShare software CD, click the Help button in the Kodak EasyShare software.

Camera Kodak EasyShare C140 was tested in a Kodak representant and worked OK including the transference of photos to the computer however when trying doing the same at home I receive an advice "ESApp.dll...

Last options that you can do is to reinstall the Software.
First check the compatability of Easyshare, Right Click the icon on your desktop and click compatability tab, then remove all check marks under that tab.

Remove the Easyshare Software from the Control Panel, Add Remove programs

Then Run the clear utility software from the web at this site
www.kodak.com/go/clear
After that restart the PC

Then try reintalling the software from the web

Make sure that there are no other devices connected to your PC while installing the software, including printers and Scanner.

Software Installation problem gets stuck - all in one Kodak ESP3 printer

I have a 6 year old Dell with XP, plenty of hard drive and memory. I could not scan using the software, I went on the Kodak website and followed the Step-by-Step Solutions and Repair which nothing worked, including the Kodak Clear Utility they reccomend for ridding your system of the software, it just locked up at the end.
So, I spent several hours on the phone with Technicians trying to uninstall and reinstall the ESP3 software. None of their methods worked even step by step manually un-installing every file and folder...
So I wrote a nasty email to them and they sent this back, which by the way, didn't work for me either, but maybe it can for you.

According to your email, the issue is that you have not been able to install the software for the printer on your computer. We understand the importance for you to have your printer working properly.

To help resolve this issue, please follow these steps in the order they appear:

e. Depending on the issue(s) you are experiencing, do the following:
If you are experiencing errors with the Kodak EasyShare software, such as a Tricode, in addition to errors with the KODAK AiO Home Center software, select Remove, click Next, and follow the on-screen instructions for removing the software.
If you are not experiencing errors with Kodak EasyShare software, select Modify to uninstall only KODAK AiO Home Center software, and click Next.
f. In the Custom Setup window, select Remove from the drop-down menu for the Kodak All-in-One Printer, and click Next.
g. In the Ready to remove the program window, click Next.
