Sennheiser EW100ENG-G2 2-Way Radio

Very bad hiss even when power is turned off and...

when the receiver end is correctly plugged inti my sony HVR z1 XLR input ...there is a very bad hiss even when power is turned off and battery is removed . I have used another signal cable from the reciever and xlr input of camera.. I have tried another same model camera unit ..and there is still very bad hiss
I have the same problem.

Hey I found The Problem .. The Phantom Power was switched to ON .. on the front of the Z1 Under the Lens.".. A big no no."
When I switched the Phantom Power off.. All clear again !!

If you use a sennheiser check your Squelch is not set to high / low. I use a Z1 and that solved my problem.
