Question about HP OfficeJet 7410 All-In-One InkJet Printer

HP OJ 7410 Allin1 not printing

Call me dumb but I'm 'stumped'. Was using HP OJ 7410 all-in-1 until it just stopped printing this afternoon. I'm using an ad-hoc w/less connection and I can still copy and stuff but simply just can't print. In trying to printout normal word docs, I've noticed that the printer icon is displayed in the system tray and when opening it up, I can see that the printing info is being spooled and I assume that the data is being sent (as it normally does). Only problem is that the printer isn't printing!

Any suggestions? Pls help - urgent docs to be printed before a deadline.

Thanks.

Dear guys at fixya and IB4G2008,

Apologies in the delay in reply - been having a bit of trouble connecting online lately (server problem causing me to keep dropping out or something). But that's all fine now.

Got my HP printer prob fixed thanks to IB4G2008's advice with checking the power arrangement. IT guys here at the office informed me of a power glitch that had occurred that morning. Guess this kinda stuffed up the driver somehow (i dunno the technical words for it) so I just simply ended up restoring my system to an earlier date.

Pretty simple, I know, but I would still be lost if wasn't for IB4G2008's advice. Thanks everyone from fixya! Much appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

I've had my HP 7410 for years. It's connected wirelessly and printed, no problem. Suddenly, I'm getting an unable to connect message when I try to print, and when I printed out the network configuration page from the printer, it says that wireless status is "disconnected." Why am I disconnected, and how can I get back? Incidentally, I also just downloaded an update to my Norton 360. Could this be the problem? But even when I turned off the firewall, I still couldn't connect. How can I get back my wireless connection?

Try removing the printer, and re adding it. Sometimes when printer drivers go kaput, they don't drop cleanly. Also, check your power arrangement, as printer drivers are notoriously suspect to power glitches, just like modems.

Got backup?
