Problem for Samsung Blackjack SGH-I607 Smartphone

Am Ajayi Foluso I work with Procter & Gamble Nigeria Ltd, I bought Samsung i607 last year during my training period in Manila and since have been enjoying the phone.
Since yestarday, the phone has not been accessing network, it is displaying "Phone off" i went to the wireless manager menu to put it on but still not suffice. kindly help me.

- My samsung is also stuck in the phone off mode again for it's third time now. I think when your out of area with 0 bars for a while it goes in this mode for some reason. My phone said "Phone Off" and there was not network connection. However when I dialed a number to call, the system asked me if I wanted to "Turn On" the phone. I said "yes" and everything was fine. Guess it is a hidden feature ?

This phone can only be used with SIM'S from specific networks.Contact your customer service center for the unlock code,or insert a SIM from a valid network.

Samsung SGH i607 Says Phone Off. Asks to turn on, say Yes...does not work. Go to Connections, Wireless Mgr and click on Phone...attempts to go from off (light blue) to on but never does. Samsung wanted to wipe phone but the rinky dink sim card only holds 250 contacts and I have about 500 so I have to save first...can't use Sync as that ties to corporage outlook and about 100k contacts...Samseen DataPort does do phone contact transfer to PC but it is not recognizing the i607 even though their site says it does. Reported bug with their usb driver downloads. Anyone know a back door fix...AT&T and Samsung did not but both groups were off shore and did not really understand issue. They just want to lose my data and RMA the set.

Me too! It'll provide me with a Bluetooth connection but not a phone connection. I'm going to try resetting it... but that means all my numbers, e-mails, etc. will be lost.
I don't know what else to do- damn expensive cell phones...

me too. i bought a phone off ebay and replaced it's damaged screen. everything seems to work fine, except it won't connect to the network. i also went through my settings menu and attempted to manually connect, but had no luck.
