1) Hold the power button (slider) in the on position for about 15-20 seconds to force the player to turn off, if it's already on.

2) Hold the menu button down and simultaneously hold the power button (slider) to the on position.

3) Do not let go when the device turns on. You will then get a screen message in black and white that reads (with a typo):

WARRING !!!

NAND FLASH MEMORY INITIALIZE......

"WARRING !!!" will appear in red (and probably should read "WARNING". You will have the options of "No" and "Yes".

4) Choose "Yes" to re-format your device.

Is there a usb connection

Hello,

There's a manual in pdf format for the NS-DV2G on this page:
http://insigniaproducts.com/cms/documents/NS-DV2G%20UM%20EN_SP_FR.pdf
There's a mini USB port near the earphone plugin: viewing the display and the scroll wheel on the right, the mini USB is on the right side.

All support for this player can be reached here:

I CANT FIND DRIVERS FOR MY MP3 PLAYER

Hello haroold,

No drivers should be needed for the Insignia® NS-DV2G MP3 player as long as you are running Windows ME-2000 or later. Drivers for Windows 98SE are available on the Insignia website at http://www.insignia-products.com/t-Win98SEUSBDriver.aspx.

For your reference, the product page for your MP3 player (including manual, FAQs and other useful info) can be found on the Insignia website at: http://www.insignia-products.com/p-249-insignia-2gb-mp3-video-player.aspx.
