Where is the knock sensor for the second bank on a 2001 Silverado 1500 w/4.8 V8 located?

Not the fuel filter

More like a vacuum leak

car is 10yrs-probly due for new sensor-there r testers to do this--hav u used a tech II--is car driving ok or knocking--get some advice at a parts store

On the newer GM products sometimes there are three. Follow along the exhaust pipes on both sides of the engine. There should be a sensor located in at least one of the pipes. if you look at the pipe once it connects to itself before the cat converter there should be another one. The drivers side is listed as bank one and the passenger is bank two for when you scan it you know which one is which.Let me know how this helps you and how it turns out.

Under the intake manifold. Make sure you get the harness for the knock sensors. and clean out all of the rust and junk you're going to find donw in the holes before and after you replace the sensors.

V6 or V8? On 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 it is under the intake. You have to remove the intake manifold.

bank one is the driver side 2 is on passenger side

on the 4.3l version the knock sensor is on the back left side of the engine right by the bell housing. on the bigger engines they are below the intake manifold in the engine valley

the knock sensor on V6 models are threaded into tranny mounting flange just below the oil pressure sending unit. On V8 models it is under the Intake Manifold.

they are located under the intake manifold, it takes two. they sit in a pint size cup hole. they tend to rust from engine WASH.
