Question about Ricoh Aficio 1035 Copier
I am getting error sc990 .
I want to fix it so wht is the fastest.
It needs a firmware update or re -write.

Sc 990 is a software problem try to update the firmware and software it will solve your problem or replace your drum that works for me

Hi, does the problem show up all the time or every 20 to 40 copies or will it code out when the copy job is done printting? Also, do you have a finisher on it. If so try to unplug the finisher and see if problem shows up. If it dose you may have a bad Hard Drive. I chased my tail for awhile on it and it turned out to be the HD. If so, save your self some money and buy a new 40G HD drive from a computer store. The OEM one is about $175.00. There is nothing on it, it just stores sortting jobs. Get one just like the one in the copier.I beleave it is a Seagate brand It is also possible that it is the boot chip, it is on the PCB under the HD.

Hi, the SC 990 is a communication error between the BICU board and the IOB, check the connections, cables, switches, sensors of the IOB and make sure that has a good connection to the BICU.
