Question about HP Pavilion zv6233NR Notebook
Hey guys/gals, I have the Pavillion zv6233nr notebook and it has worked fine until the last 2 months. When I insert a DVD into the drive the computer pops up the window with a list of icons and asks which one to use, it used too just automattically play dvd's back. When that window pops up the icons are less detailed than normal and include no text, also my mouse is sluggish at responding and i eventually eject the disk, after the dvd(any dvd movie) is removed the mouse speeds up, but the icons start disappearing and reappearing. I also get small windows popping up in the center of the screen usually blank with blank buttons, today one word showed up, "iTunes." Yesterday a window popped up that said I did not have the correct overlay for Hi resolution playback and then it actually played back a random scene from the movie for about 5 seconds and just repeated it, the scene was also upside down on the screen, I have seen all the movies before on my computer so I really am confused why it wont work. The major change in the same time frame was I installed iTunes, but I did not make it the dominant player for dvd's and the people at apple say it has nothing to do with them(I caled the iPhone support line.) if anyone has or had a similar problem and know how to fix it I would appreciate it, I have the maximum ram installed, plus completely updated all software and have never had any other issues, oh yeah if i use an external dvd drive the same issues occur, thanks for your help.
Try to remove all your startup and then put the dvd inside then do not auto play it, try to play it manually by going to my computer - right click the dvd/cd drive - then click open - then locate the video file which is the most capacity that has. then play that one. Hope it help
