You can use any branded DVD-lens cleaner. I recommend Sony. It is just like a normal DVD except that brushes will pop out to clean the lens when you play it. After the cleaning is complete the sample video file on the DVD will be played indicating that it has been cleaned. Otherwise clean again.
hi!!can i help you? did you already tried to open your dvd?do have somes skills in electronic let me teach you some basic, open your dvd player y\using philips screw,,then try to look for the lens,,get some pc. of cotton and clean the lens carefully, reminder pls dont touch directly the lens,,after cleaning your dvd player close it and try it,,,before playing the disk clean it first, hope this steps will turn your dvd player in a good condition,,,
My identical system has exactly the same problem as the one described by dipaola, above. When I insert a DVD, the DVD carriage pops back open after a few seconds. In fact, mine won't stay closed even without a DVD in it, as long as the system is set to play a DVD. I'd like an answer to the big Q - Is there anything I can do about this, or should I just find another DVD player to hook into the system?
Hi its look that you need to clean the laser lens
manualy open the cover press eject unplug the dvd leave the door open and with a qtips and alcool wipe gently the lens
and its done put the cover back and try it its should works
and make shure that you have a clean disk before try to play it
hope that will help you
The problem could be dirt on the surface of the lens, you can clean this by removing the cover of the dvd player .
Gently use a dry cotton bud to clean the lens because the lens is fragile.
Insert the disc plate into the dvd player and press play, if it does not play try the second method.
Ensure the cover of the player is open, connect the power plug to the mains socket and observe the lens if it beam a red light, Also check the ribbon cable use to connect the lens to the printed circuit board, then gently clean the lens with a dry cotton bud , insert the disc plate and press play to see if it play.
If it does not play the disc, then this require a change of the lens
remove the player from ur car and if you are good at opening the player then just follow this steps... 1.take of the screws 2.remove the cover 3.take off the rubber belt connecting the dc motor 4. now you can take the door out by sliding one white coloured clip 5.now clean the obstacles in the door way and every where use dry clothes.. 6.clean the lens also by using the white petrol or spirit....
then reassemble just put the cd r dvd and play... if you are not good at opening then contact the technician........
just open your dvd player with the door ejected and then just clean the dust particles and obstacles in the door way and especially clean the lens... use only dry clothes for cleaning ... after that just give a try..
if problem persists or if you are afraid of opening it or if you dont have any idea about it then contact the near by technician and tell your problem... he will clean the lens with the white petrol or spirit... then your problem will be solved ... he will not charge much for cleaning lens he may charge 100 bugs or 150 bugs that s all ... and if there is any other problem just like the lens is out something like that he may charge more...
