Question about HP Compaq nc6230 Notebook
Can one take the Dual-Core 2.0Ghz CPU out of a broken HP,Compaq n6320 and use it in a working Compaq n6230 that uses a m- 1.86GHz CPU
is this possible ?.

Yes, you can swap this 1.8 GHz CPU with 2.0GHz.
Make sure that both are dualcore and the L2Cache number is matching. To find the L2Cache, get the CPU out of the machine, and on the back there is written information which contain the GHz, L2Cache etc. Make sure these would match, GHz matching is not much a issue. This cache should match because this is the speed of the socket.
