Go gear not working

How do I get rid of "Please connect player to pc" off? I have already connected the player to the pc 2-3 times and I continue to get the same message. Even though on my computer screen I get the message that the devise is now readt to be used. Please tell me how to solve this problem.

Install and run Device Manager from the product CD.

Select the repair option, and follow the on-screen prompts.

NOTE: ALL FILES LOADED ON TO THE PLAYER WILL BE LOST.


If this doesn't work then it may be that the hard disk is faulty. There is an easy way to find out. The following procedure allows the player to connect to the PC as a removable drive. If the Pc reads the drive, then the drive is ok.

Connect the HDD1630 to the mains adaptor and the PC.

Before the computer has a chance to recognise the player, press "Power" and "Vol +" to reset the player.

As soon as the player resets (screen goes blank) press and hold "Vol -" until the PC recognises the player as a removable drive.

Try to access the player through "My Computer" as you would the main hard disk.

    Further to my previous solution:



    The HDD16X0 series use a standard 6Gb Microdrive which are readily available, and much cheaper than the official Philips replacement. The new drive would need to be "Repaired" using the Philips Device Manager.

I am not able to turn on my Go Gear Vibe MP3 after charging it today. Please help.

It won't connect to my PC, says driver not found


If the volume + method didn't work, then there is some feature about your PC config that is not going to work with this player. you can try the FAQ method on Philips website for when the PC is not recognizing the player, but I've never seen a case where it was successful.

Connect to pc


Sounds like the system files have been corrupted or deleted.

The HDD6330 is only compatible with Windows XP (With Service Pack 2) & Windows Media Player 10. If you have version 11, you will need to uninstall it to roll back to version 10.

Install and run the Philips Device Manager from the product CD.

Connect the player to the power supply and PC.

If the player is recognised by the PC, select the repair/restore option in Philips Device Manager, and follow the on-screen prompts.
This will format the player and re-load the firmware.

NOTE: THIS WILL DELETE ALL TRACKS ON THE PLAYER.

If this doesn't help, then post details of what happens, and I'll try to help further.

Please help me?


Heres something that worked for me....when I first got my e280 it worked fine then one day it just stopped.. After dealing with sansa customer support several times without any luck and trying everything else I could find in various forums, I came up with something that works for me....1st, if you are running vista, the device has to be turned of when you plug it in. If that does'nt work, try putting your sansa in lock mode...with it turned off plug it in to your pc and hit the power button until it turns off the push it again until it comes back on I did this several times and It worked and it continues to work....Good Luck.

1. I assume you are using a USB Port to connect the device?
--Yes - Continue - If No, please specify connection method

2. Does using another USB Port on the PC make any difference?
--No - Continue - If Yes, that port on the PC is not functioning.

3. Are other USB devices that you plug into the PC detected?
--Yes - Continue - If No - the USB system on the PC is not functioning - upgrading or reinstalling the driver might work if it is not a hardware malfunction.

4. Did you install any type of driver for the Sandisk mp3 player?
--No- Continue - If Yes - uninstall and reinstall the driver.

5. Do you have another USB cable to try with the device?
-- If No, try another PC.

Make sure you have media player 11
If you can, the best test is to try your player with another PC, to see if you still have the problem. This localises whether the problem is with the PC (most likely the USB) or the player. See the link below (search on "connection problems") for a lot more troubleshooting on this.
Download recovery tool off creative's website.
go to my computer > click on hardware tab >
click on device manager button > in the is next screen on the bottom should have>>universal serial bus controllers
(write these down just in case it cant find them)
right click on them and uninstall
reboot let windows reinstall them

Also told Microsoft hotfix causes this problem try uninstalling the last hotfix
If that doesn't fix it try the USB cable
