I cant print in color

I have a samsung CLP-300 and it wont print in color, I have new cartidges

    Hi, I have the EXACT ssame problem!!! Brand new printer! It just CANNOT print in colour!

    Some additional notes: When the printer was first switched on, it automatically printed a page stating :Toner cartrides were installed successfully. This page had a blue Samsung logo with a blue border, and the black text above in about 25 different languages. This page was fine. Next, after installing the printer driver + software, the test page printed successfully in colour, with the top banner (picture of sweets) and a picture of the CPL 300 in the bottom left, and a Samsung logo in blue, bottom right, all fine.

    Next, I opened up an invoice in Word 2003 that I had previously printed on a Dell laser to compare the differences. The invoice consists of a dark orange borders and lines (invoice style) and the black text. The print quality was poor.The orange band looked washed out at the edges and faded, and where the totals appear, the orange bands there had whats best described as ink runs! Trying to adjust the colour using the "Printer Settings" option, was the LAST TIME I saw colour!....

    Ok, so maybe the software was problematic....Got the spare laptop out, installed the driver & software, printed an invoice and voila!..... no colour! Only the black text!. Tried switching off and on....no luck. Pulled out the colour cartridges, shook it around a little (as described in the manual), re-inserted....nothing!!!.


    For a brand new printer out of the box to function like this!!! Crap!!! Next time I'm gonna spend a little more and get an ***! These cheap printers are worth more trouble than the price!

    Just put in new color toner, and it wont print in color. The printer was working fine, printed thousands of pages before with it, however it stopped printing in color all of a sudden.

    Printer was working fine and then started printing only in B&W. I've deleted and re-installed multiple times. I've changed the settings to color-normal or color-best multiple times also. The settings don't get saved. When you come back to the Preferences, they are set to b&w and draft. Besides this problem, the rollers in the printer are noisy also.

That was the first place I looked. Nonetheless, I printed a page with the word "TEST" repeated thrice, font size 72, each one in yellow, blue, and red. The colors appeared, extremely faint; almost invisible. You have to literally stick the page in your eye to see it!

Called Samsung, and got a replacement. The replacement is now working 100%. I must say the print quality is fair, but then again, for a $180 printer, its what you paid for.

One last thing: I bought the printer brand new on 10 Feb '08. Looking at the back, you can see the manufacture date. July 2006!!!! The replacement at least is August 2007, so maybe just a bad batch. Who knows!

Anyone reading this, check your manufacture date on the back first! Looks like Samsung had a bad batch somewhere along the line.

Make sure when you are printing that you go to propertys, graphics, and make sure color is selected, other than that, i woudld say contact samsung. good luck

Hi,

1st of all the printer is a color printer, even if you print black only it will still pull a small percentage of color to run the printing.

if 1 of your color toner is empty. you will have to replace it before it allow you to print.

you may press and hold the button for 5sec and let go to print the supplier info.

If it still show @ 0% you may want to check with the shop you purchase to get an 1 to 1 replace.

POOR PRINT QUALITY WHEN PRINTING IN BLACK ONLY


may be your new toner can be faulty.you can try this processor first you remove the toner & refix it after shaking.if your problem is not solved then check with new toner again.
