Sorry I just noticed the specs for your comp are in the thread title. These laptops are far too old to play any games that were made in the last 5 years well.

I don't belie there is any fix for this problem and support for this product ended years ago. Sorry but that laptop is just too old to do what you are asking of it.

Sorry but to my knowledge the video card in that model isn't changeable.

Even so it's not just the Video card thats causing the problem. You also need to be running win xp/vista. with twice the RAM that that model comes with (i'm assuming you havn't upgraded the ram, and its still at 128mb).you need at very least 256MB

Of course even then you still have a processor that is about 200mhz to slow to play this game. I would reccomend a slightly less intensive (hardwarewise) flight sim, as you should be really close to able to run it.

The only other thing I could think of, would be to upgrade to windows xp, which then you may be able to get the game to run. But the frame rate would probably be to low for you to have any fun with.

Because I live in the U.S. it's hard for me to recomend one in your price range. However I can say that "Dell" makes very cheap laptops. It's VERY risky to order a laptop internationally though.

For a student I would reccomend any odel of dells VOSTRO. Any model of this pc will play the game you mentioned in your original post. There are several models to meet you needs starting at $400 (I believe about 350 your money).

I'm not trying to advertise for dell or anything. This just is the cheapest commercially available laptop to do what your asking. Available internationally.

Why i cant play a psp emulator on my acer aspire 4736z even i have an opengl 2.1.0 and a latest video driver ? it always says "your video card driver does not supports opengl 2.0 .. plss help me

If you look at the specs of your computer, you will see that you have no dedicated GPU. Only an onboard graphics chip that is not capable of rendering on the fly the way psp emulators demand. Specs here==>

Also, psp emulators are tricky even with a fully capable system, and a lot of roms do not function the way they should. Always check community message boards to see if there are any workarounds for different games. It could be that you are running into a bug that is based on a mismatch between the game and the emulator.

My laptop crashed when i am playing ONLY League of Legends sometimes

Sometimes games will freeze up due to a video card driver needing updated or replaced. Another reason could be that it has a corrupted file and needs re-installed. You can always try running a disk defrag also to see if that helps. Your graphics card might not have what it takes to run it, you could try lowering the settings.

The requirements for games are not 100 percent accurate as it depends on a lot more than just system hardware. Different drivers, versions of codex, as well as different versions of direct x all can affect it. Even just how well the game was coded and or optimized can affect it a lot. If I remember from what I did play of it, they didn't have that well of an optimized game.

One last thing to try is in your league folder there should be a direct x setup application. Try running that to see if that works.

Does the videocard of acer aspire5572WXMi upgradable?

The video card is built into the motherboard so there is no way to upgrade it. Sorry, you're stuck with playing the games that the card can play.

I cannot run MS Flight Simulator on my IBM Thinkpad R40, probably because the video memory is 16MB and the program needs 32MB video ram. Some thinkpads came out with 32mb video ram though, and now I'm...

You should be able to buy buying a Video graphics card for your specific computer. You should always check with your manufacturer to make sure that the part is compatible with the rest of the computer. You may even be able to find the part on the manufacturers website. If you do not know much about computers, especially laptops then you should always have a professional assist you that way you dont cause any other problems.

Video card

Notebook computers unless made specifically for gaming aren't able to play the graphic intense games like gears of war and games that are graphic intense, I run an sli machine with dual graphics cards, ans still cannot play on the highest graphics settings on some machines, the new motherboards are runnong 3 an 4 video cards for gaming rigs. Most notebooks run shared graphics memory and don't have a seperate card for graphics, look at the alienware notebooks, and you will see what I am talking about, unless you have a 'Gaming laptop" custom job, playing the latest games is out for most normal laptops.

What can I safely upgrade to for gaming

0Hi there,

The Pavillion dv4t comes with a choice of specs to meet your needs. As you haven't listed them I will list the Minimum that you will need to run the games, that way, you can check them against what you have and decide if you need to upgrade.

I will list for Sims 3. Even with the basic dv4t you will not need to upgrade to play Sims 2.

Sims 3

Running Vista SP1

CPU (processor speed) - 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4 or Athlon 2400+
RAM (memory) - 2 GB
Video Card (graphics) - 128 MB (Nvidia GeForce Go 6200, ATI Radeon Mobile 9600, or equivalent)
Hard Drive (space for installation) - 6.5 GB and an extra 1.5 GB for custom content.

These are the minimum specs for running on a laptop.

Hope that helps

Hi there,

I believe your laptop is Aspire 5100.
You CAN'T upgrade your video card, because the video card is on motherboard. it's a chipset.
For custom graphic card, it's too much, you can't just replace it,
you have to have some tools to solder the chipset (you can't solder it by hand) on your motherboard. and if your solder is bad, your laptop won't work properly.

If you want to play game, you should buy desktop, in this you can upgrade your video card (many options).
