Ink skid mark

When I mak a copy a roller leaves a skid mark all the way down the middle ofr every page

I have dents running down the middle of the page. It looks like one of the rollers on the inside is adjusted too tightly but I don't know how to get in there. I think that the thing that is making the dents is also responsible for making the ink marks.

thank you for the help you gave me previously,

If you pull out the cartridge and you see loss toner uder it you cartridge is leaking and needs to be replaced. Unplug the copier and vacum out the toner under the cartridge and Test it again.. If it better then that is the problem. Also, chk the drum for marks on it. If not and you still have the problem, you will need a new fixing ass'y. The upper fusing film is most likely ripped and needs to be replaced.

Sending fax error only

Can you post some images of exactly what this looks like? Just make a few copies of a blank sheet of paper if you need to - actually that would probably be better so we'd get nothing but the skid mark. I might be able to make some educated guesses about it once I see it.

you may need to poke down the absorber foams below the ink cartridges. See if accumulations of blotted ink takes place. Wipe it or spray some windex. You may also need to wipe the roller with dampened clothe. Printed of the ink cartridge ma also need to be clean. Softly press it in a towel moistened with alcohol to remove ink residue in the print head.

HP P3005 - skid marks along paper's edge

Print 3 pages. Use the manual feed tray. As they print, open the cover, remove the toner and look down at the paper in the printer. Do you see marks along the edge? If no...replace the fuser. If could be the transfer roller.

either dubree on the rollers or on the corona wires, wires clean with acalohol and q-tip, very carefully or you will brake the fire, look where the line is at and open the machine and locate where the issue is and remove and clean this area very carefully.

HORIZONTAL Lines on faxed/scanned pages.

I've seen this before. Since the printer portion is working fine that points to the scanner mechanism as the culprit. There are two things I have seen cause this. 1) If the line is a perfect rectangle all the way to the edge of the page then the light bar itself is dying and there isn't much you can do to save the unit. Send it in for warranty repair if you have the option. 2) If the line is more like a skid mark like you mentioned, then the paper that is being scanned is not pressing up fully against the light bar. Not enough light is bouncing off the page and the scanner can't read it well. This can also be caused by a roller not feeding correctly and then bunching up the paper a little bit. I would check the rollers for wear or something being off center. This can sometimes be caused if the machine has ran a high volume or thick paper. I would really think the cause would be one of these two since you are getting the marks at odd intervals, if the intervals were regular it could *possibly* be the drum but as I stated before, with the print function working right, I doubt it.
