I need to find out a way to bypass a factory amp in my yukon denali with a bose system factory built into to so i can hook up a aftermarket decki basically need the wiring scematics

How hook amp up to a oem integration SNI-15 line output convertor


The amp needs an RCA input to communicate with the head unit. SOLDER the wires that come out of the head unit for the front speakers to the SNI-15, making sure that the polarity and right/left is correct. Do this for the front and rear speakers if you have a 4 channel amp. Cut the wires if you add new speakers and run the new wire from the speakers or sub box directly to the amp, or skin back the wire insulation and tap on if you use the factory speakers :( then plug your RCA cable from the SNI-15 to the input side of the amp. Don't forget that most new cars have their own amp so you might have to locate it and bypass the speakers wires around it. Don't make a mess in case you have to put everything back to factory for resale. You can avoid all this by installing a new/modern head unit with built in RCA outputs for front, rear, and sub woofer. How do i get this amp to workin an Oldsmobile Intrigue with a factory radio?


you need a hi-lo adapter and that hooks up to the right or left rear speaker then the remote wire needs to go behind the deck to the ignition wire. if the system is pre amp then you have to bypass the amp system

Gotta 07 Denali and in the past when I put my system in any of my vehicles, I just throw my line converter on the rear speakers and all is good. My question is can you still do that with the factory Bose...


Hello russet327,

There should be no difference in the signal on the speakers themselves. It's simply an AC sine wave, varying in amplitude and frequency.

There might be a phase difference that could affect the sound of your subs, but most amps will allow you to adjust or at least select the proper phase. I'd recommend wiring the LOC the same as you have always done it. "Grabbing" a signal before it gets to the factory amp could be even more problematic because the signal will most likely be at too low of a level for your LOC, the wiring may be shielded, and the impedance will be an input impedance in the range of 20-25K ohms instead of the 4 ohms that the LOC is expecting.

if it has factory bose system, you will need a aftermarket converter box for bose systems, from there most should be able to finish it out.

Can't get my amplifier to work.


My homie had the same problem with his escalade they adapted an rca line adapter from the factory wiring to geta signal to his amplifier and it just wasnt hitting like it should so we installed a new deck and plugged the rca cords right into it and boomboom pow it was hittin like a champ-we figured that the stock premium system that was incoprporated into the truck had some sort of an onboard amp that was filtering the bass from the door speakers and which was limiting the bass output to the rca adapter and thus on down the line to the amplifier- so maybe ya might want to look into getting an aftermarket deck and see if that helps your cause-good luck

ur doin too much...you only use two amps to run a common subwoofer...if you want two subs either hook them both up to the amp you have, or get a bigger amp...hopefully this helps

Also called speaker level inputs, an input on an amplifier specifically designed for higher voltage and lower impedance signals, typically between 1.2 to 12 volts and 4 to 8 ohms, as found on the outputs of low powered speaker connections. Hi-level inputs are commonly used as an easy and convenient upgrade path to connect factory-installed head units to after-market amplifiers.
high level inputs are less subjected to interference and can travel further without signal loss.
Factory radios do not have dedicated outputs for amplifiers (preamp outputs). So you'll want an amplifier with speaker-level (often called high-level) inputs; these inputs enable you to tap into the factory speaker wires for a signal flow.
They're called high-level inputs because the voltage level is significantly higher than with a standard preamp output connection. These inputs convert the high voltage to one the amplifier can handle. Once connected, you'll hear clean, well-defined sound (including the lyrics to your favorite song).
Speaker-level inputs are a standard of many two- and four-channel, and mono subwoofer amplifiers.
All the power wires no the amp will be ran the same with the exception of the remote turn on wire. +12v constant will still go to the battery(properly fused with 12" of the battery!), and the ground will still go to the chassis. You can hook the remote turn on to the +12v ignition wire behind the radio, or the equivilent fuse in the fuse box. I would not recomend hooking it up to the pwr ant wire on the stock deck as it often goes off when the radio is off, or cd is playing.

As I said, most cars have no issues with any of this, but cars with "PREMIUM SOUND" systems often do not mesh well with aftermarket equipment. Fords JBL or chrystlers infinity (And bose in darn near anything!) are often cause issues. Sometimes you can easily bypass this system(Ford), sometimes you have little choice but to rip it all out and start fresh(Bose). I can walk you through the scenarios for most makes and models, but certainly do not have the time or patience to give every one. Hit me up on the forum and I will be happy to help you further....
