First - reset the player by using a paperclip, toothpick, etc and pressing it into the pinhole. Try doing this while the GoGear is "On" - but this may be difficult under the circumstances. Try connecting your GoGear to the computer after that, and see if Windows Media recognizes the player.

If that fails, conenct your GoGear to the computer, open Philips Device Manager (Start-->All Programs-->Philips), and click on the repair tab. Now, disconnect your GoGear from computer. Turn the GoGear off if it is not already. Press and hold the volume + key and connect the GoGear to the computer (while still pressing the volume +). A window will pop up saying a repair is being performed. now you can let go of the Volume + button. The repair will get your device workign normally again. WARNING: the repair process will delete any music/other media file from your GoGear.

Stuck on load screen

I upgraded the unit on Dec. 24th and I now have the same problem. My solution is to take it to your local recycling plant and don't buy another Samsung player. I contacted support and because the unit is out of warranty they can't (will not) do anything. I tried reapplying the firmware via the USB and it didn't work. Anyone have a way to reset the firmware to the factory version?

Car will not start

A simple jump start with battery cables should get the car started and recharge the battery. If you don't like dealing with battery cables, there are products that attach from inside the car using the cigarette lighter to jump start the car that work very well.

Alright so I have a sony walkman I think its the newest 16gb model I really don't know, but its black and has speakers, and the hold button is on the side along with the volume control, but anyway my...

Let's see... it would help if you might have the model number but here's a start. Below is the link page to Sony's latest NWZ walkman. I entered "trouble" in the search box and landed here.

This might be helpful to you at some point. Once you find your model number (their first bullet point) you can go to the home page for your specific players instructions...

link: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/digital-music-players-nw-nwz-ws-series

But for now, I searched your specific issue too and came up with this. Again - I don't have your model number but they are likely to be similar in solution. You may have tried each step as you'd mentioned but here is a step-by-step to check your own steps:

link: https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-fix-frozen-walkmans

Resetting a Frozen Walkman
Step 1
Grab either a paper clip or a needle. If you have a paper clip, bend it so that it becomes a straight line.

Step 2
Locate the "Reset" button on the Walkman. Most Walkman models and, indeed, most MP3 players keep the Reset button somewhere near the volume control. Slide the pin needle or paper clip into the hole and press the "Reset" button.

Step 3
Hold down the "Reset" button for 3 to 5 seconds. If you see the screen flicker, the Walkman has reset. Release the "Reset" button and remove the pin needle from the hold.

Draining the Battery
Step 4
Power on your Sony Walkman. If already powered on, power down and then turn back on.

Step 5
Allow the MP3 player to burn through the battery life. This will take several hours. Wait an extra couple of hours to ensure the battery is completely dead. Just because the screen has gone dark does not mean that the battery has completely drained itself.

Step 6
Recharge the Walkman player until the battery holds a full charge. Turn the Walkman on. If the system operates as normal, the problem has been remedied.

Lastly, here is a utube troubleshoot video link (and again - I don't have your model number .... hint hint.)

Good luck - I hope something here works and that perhaps I have improved your day! :)

Why won`t my mp3 take itself off hold?

Power & Hold switch
Slide and hold in the opposite direction
of the arrow for power on/off.
Slide in the direction of the arrow to
lock the button functions.

If that fails,
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Mpio HD-400 is stuck on loading screen windows doesnt recognize it

alotita, I have an MPIO HD-200. Does Windows play the sound like you have something attached when you plug it in? Or does Windows not regognize it al all? Either way, I've had to play with mine after I've dropped it a couple of times. I charge the battery all the way, then just keep plugging and unplugging from the USB wire. The last time, it took 20+ times before Windows would recognize it.
