We have a VTX Conference phone and when we push the CONF button it s putting the call on hold and not joining up the conferernce callers together. Repeatedly pressing the CONF key just switches between the two called parties and places the other one on hold-- not linking the two callers up.
Any ideas why??

While on a call, press conference or transfer button(will put first call on temporary hold). Make call to next party, talk to party, press conference button to join all callers. Same procedure to add more parties up to 8 total.
Also, if you use transfer button to start conference call you can use transfer button to join all parties.
If you use conference button to start conference call use conference button to join all parties.
There are 2 ways to do that. One, and the easiest, is to press the green line button on your phone. It will blink and allow another person to press it and join the call. The second way is to use the CONF button, press CONF, get the second call on your phone and press CONF again.
Very simple, make your first call once they answer press the conf. button, make your second call then press the conf. button again. If you need a third person press conf button again (this puts calls 1 and 2 on hold) make call number three then press conf. again and all will be connected.
With a special card in the system Panasonics can conf upto eight people.
Generally on most systems you have a conf call button or feature code. This is a general description some systems have variations of this, Hope it helps.
