The HP LaserJet 1000 is a Host Based printer and so is not compatible with your router's USB print server.

You cannot use this printer with this print server, it needs to be connected directly to a computer that can run the HP drivers/software.

From D-Links tech specs for your router:-

** Host-based printers are not supported. Please check with the printer manufacturer if your printer model is host-based (GDI).

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

How to get network password on a Dlink DI 524Up wireless router?

What is the password that you needs? Is this that appears in this link http://suporte.dlink.com.br/suporte/emuladores/DI/DI-524UP_1.06/Tools/tools_admin.html ? If so, the user is admin and the password may be blank if nobody changed it but to acess the router you need to be connected by wire if the remote management option is disabled. If the password has being changed and forgotten then you need to reset the router.

How do I setup/install a printer on the DI-524UP?

Hi,

Here I find your printer is not a network printer hence directly accessing is not possible . You need to configure the printer to one of the PC and share the printer access rights . Then take a another PC and search for the computer name ed : \\resdc
When you find the PC double click and you shall find the printer .Click on thee printer and connect.

Cannot connect laptop to wireless. Apparently my password is wrong (even though I am sure it is not). Have tried to reset wireless router (D-link DI 524) without success.

Make sure that the password that you have is correct if not then you will need to check the password of the wireless network.

D-link di-524up configuring router with bigpond

Hello cook_ka

You can find information about and downloads for your "DI-524UP 54 Mbps Wireless Broadband Router Plus Print Server" HERE on D-Link's Australia & New Zealand regional web site.

You can find its product manual HERE. Please, download this manual. (You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader or another PDF file reader in order to open the file.)

In order to access the router and get it configured initially, connect a computer to any one of the router LAN ports (NOT the WAN port) using an Ethernet patch cable.

The instructions for configuring your router begin on page 8 of the product manual.

This router has a configuration wizard as well. Instructions for using the configuration wizard begin on page 10 of the manual.

NOTE-1: The default IP address of your router is 192.168.0.1

NOTE-2: Don't try to access the router wirelessly until you have the router configured and your connection to the Internet working (using a "wired" connection from your computer to the router).

NOTE-3: I assume that, since your ISP is BigPond, that your Internet access connection is ADSL. In that case, you are going to need your ADSL login credentials (primary account user name and password) in order to configure the WAN side of your router settings.

Please, let us know if this information was helpful to you or, of course, if you have any further questions.

Documents not printing

Hi How to check the print server is in the wireless network or not!! Check under the Router Setup page Router's ip address... Check if you are able to ping the Print Server Ip address....Since it the router will assign a ip address from DHCP range.. If you are able to ping the router's ip address and the print server ip address then the print server is in the Wireless LAN... Try the following steps. 1. Go to run and type "cmd" press enter 2. type ipconfig. 3. Check the range of ip address...if its 192.168.0.XX 4. Try pinging that ip address.. 5. If able to ping the router and print server.. Then the wireless network is fine... Somehow some of the printer's don't work with some of the print servers.. Check if D-link does support the printer or not!!!! for this particular model of the router...
