Question about Canon PowerShot A570 IS Digital Camera
Sounds like the LCD's ribbon cable is not securely attached to its connector. If the camera's no longer under warranty, you'll need to open the camera, remove and then reseat the LCD ribbon cable into its connector. If you decide to attempt repair, remember its ultimately your responsibility, as things can and sometimes do go wrong. Also go no further than the first three pictures in the following disassembly guide.
Follow the LCD ribbon cable to its connector on the circuit board. Look for lift pins or a lift bar on the connector that you lift with your fingernail, or the flat edge of a screwdriver, to release the cable. After you release the cable, inspect the end of the cable to make sure its clean, then reinsert it in the connector, and close the lift pin/bar to secure it. Reassemble the camera, and try it out.
