I have the same problem. Camera worked fine for about a year now all pics are blurry.I have the same problem. Camera worked fine for about a year now all pics are blurry.
The flower signifies close up shots (making close shots focused). There is a flower button on the back of the camera (on the square button along with the flash and self timer). Push the flower to turn off this property.

go to one of the big auto parts chains like advance auto part, they have a small ,but what your looking for under wiring diagrams ,i have the whole diagram for 2000 xlt explorer and focus sc 2000 from a pay for download site ! cheap too you can pick your section and print ,then just lay printings out in order and you can find anything [color codes and numbered wires ] right from each fuse or relay out to every part in car ! i dont have them right now in front of me ,to give you site url. ,but if above doesn't do it for you ,i,ll look for folder and send you the url. so let me know if the above works for you.

If you take it to pieces, you will end up with a (hopefully complete) kit of parts which you will have to pay a repairer to re-assemble for you. Your choice.
I also have the same problem with a 2007 ford focus. I have been informed that it is a common problem and that the barrel needs to be changed. I believe it is necessary to open the bonnet by trying to remove the panel/ covers from under the front bumper. I managed to get the panel off by removing about 8 screws but I was still unable to open the bonnet.
If you have any luck, would you please respond.
Yes it will focus. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the telescope. DO NOT use the 2x barlow. Go outside during the daytime and practice focusing on a distant object.
PS- focal length refers to the distance between the front lens of the telescope and the eyepiece. Are you saying the focuser itself BROKE? If it is missing the scope is not worth fixing, as a new focuser will cost you about as much as what you paid for the scope.
You may want to consider fine tuning the lenses. I understand that you want the shallow depth of field, but the lens is sharpest at the middle f stops. What is the comparison between a stationary object like an apple or grape (something with a circular shape). I understand you have a higher shutter speed, but the small movements of a person could cause variances in a single focus mode. Are you using the half-shutter press for focus or the AF-E button? Tripod? Remote shutter release?
I asked about the distance relative to the lens length because the DOF can really change based on this. I have found this recently with my macro work so I wanted to find out if you have experimented with this or fired a bunch of shots at a single setup.
Hello Abdul!
I recommend that you print this test chart: http://www.photo.net/learn/focustest/scale45.jpg
Just print it on an ordinary paper, then put it on a table, and take a picture at it from a 45 degree angle, using the center focusing point only, aimed at the thicker line in the middle. The numers are centimeters. Take the test picture at f/1.4. Make sure you have good light so you get a fast shutter time. If you have a tripod, mount the camera on the tripod prior to taking the test picture.
Then examine the picture in your computer, zoomed to 100%. Now it should be clear wheter you got back- or front focus, and how large the problem is.
Unfortunately, there is no way for you to adjust the camera and lens combination yourself, you will have to send/bring the camera to an autorized camera workshop. This is covered by the warranty.
Hope this helps!
Regards,
/Chris
It appears you have accidently activated the macro mode. On the command dial, press & release the flower symbol (camera turned on and in shooting mode) until the flower disappears from the display. That oughta do it.
"it no longer takes pictures"
i'll need a bit more information from you but for now my first suggestion would be to (if the camera still powers up) try testing the shutter by finding the "sensor clean" option in your menu. (i don't have mine in front of me at the moment, but it's usually one of the last options)
first remove the lens and select the sensor clean option. if the shutter opens, then the camera body itslef should be fine. the camera will instruct you how to close the shutter after. be extremely careful when the image sensor is exposed like this, make sure not to touch it and be sure to be in a clean area (dust on your sensor will frustrate you beyond belief)
now i've had problem after problem with this standard 18-55mm lens. if the lens can't find a focal point, it won't fire. try switching to manual focus and see if it fires. if while focusing manually there is any resistence or grinding, chances are your lens is shot perhaps from being dropped or there is debris preventing auto focus mode to find a focal point.
"i've had my camera for about a year"
if you bought it new and have had it under a year, it should still be covered by warrenty and canon will take it back and make repairs (they gave me a new lens when this happened to me)
