Question about HP Digital Projector xb31 Multimedia Projector

Connecting Projector to High Def Source (e.g. PS3 HDMI)

Newbie here and looking for some advice please.

Just receive the HD Fury (Blue Edition) and trying to connect the following:

PS3/HD DVD PLAYER
HDMI
I
I
I (HDMI to DVI Male cable)
I
I
DVI
HD Fury
I
I
I
VGA

but....
No VGA input on Projector only has a DVI input (M1-DA)

So i tried:
VGA (Male) to DVI (M1-DA) cable supplied with Projector

Turn on computer and I end up with a good clear (high def) picture, but in GREEN. There is no fuzz or static, just everything is green

had a look at this again.

What is actually happening when the PS3 is connected and then the Projector is automatically scanning through the following:
Computer
DVI
Video
S-Video
Compoent i
Compoent p

Unfortunately it is then setting the" computer" setting and showing it the picture "green"

How can I fix it to display DVI? and will this elimate the green issue?

Help, much, much appreciated

That projector supports M1-D also which is the digital side of the M1-DA... Anyway, they sell cables that are M1-D to HDMI to which you can hook directly to the PS3. They are decently priced too, less than $20. I know this thread is old, but I came across it due to an issue I am having with my xb31, broken color wheel. Trying to find parts...

I don't think you can hook a PS3 to 350W projector. You are maxing out the PS3 output. Good luck with it

Is this projector high def

HI,
Its not an HD (1080p) projector. So it will not be able to show HD picture. In HD projectors there will be an input named HDMI( High-Definition Multimedia Interface ).This projector able to Show picture up to a resolution 1080i (HDTV) Though component video input.

I need access to manual for the Image Pro 8758. We are getting no picture output from Projector. currently using the component to 15pin VGA wiring. Which is connected to the Computer 2 input terminial on...

Try pushing the source button either on the projector or the remote. It will tell the projector to look for another source. It may currently be set on one of the other sources. If you look up the manufacturer on-line, you should be able to download the manual.

I'm tryingto hook up my lp350 to hdmi. I purchased an m1-da to hdmi adapter. When I hook up my dvd player or PS3, I get a message that the display does not contain HDCP compatibility.

Unfortunatly your projector is not HDCP compliant. In other words it lacks the proper hardware and software which is neccessary for you to watch HDCP content. HDCP is a form of copy protection.

Try pressing the "auto image" button on the projector itself. This sometimes solves these types of problems.

Display resolution through dvi input HELP!

For the record I have a playstation 3 running to tx100 through hdmi to dvi adapter. It does all resolution no probs, including 720p,1080i and 1080p (which tx100 does do smoothly through dvi). My denon upscaling dvd player works fine too. In fact the tx100 looks totally awsome with PS3 games and Blu-ray.

Maybe your dvi lead is the wrong type (i think there are 2 types) or perhaps you could test with a differrent piece of DVI kit in case it's your pioneer causing probs? Hope this helps.
