Hi

From the printer or printer properties in your computer, there are 2 ways actually. you can go to epson.expert.com to register to get the technical and how to's for these types of printers.

To print the current setting, turn off your printer and while off press and hold feed button and turn on the printer while holding down the feed button and release feed button as soon as it start printing current setting for your printer.

Hope this helps

Hello guys, how can i change the LX300-ii font spacing. thanks in advance.

You can download user's manual where it explains how to use your printer's control panel to change one of 6 inbuilt fonts.

read this short tutorial

http://maintenanceprinter.blogspot.com/2011/07/how-to-change-fonts-in-epson-lx-300.html

Download manual:
Descargar Epson LX 300 II

I guess you can change fonts using control characters but I don't know if you can embad tham in a word doc. No way to test it because I don't have this printer.I remember having done it in early days of DOS word processing with Wordstar.

Hold ALT and type the command character - the numbers 27. In notebook will look like an arrow to the left, followed by writing a command character, examples:
? P Selects 10 cpi
? M Selecting the 12 CPI
? ? Select dense Print - 15 CPI (this character is typed by holding the ALT key figures 15)

Print output

I had the same problem when printing on Windows XP Pro or Vista Business OS while the prinout was fine using DOS or Linux environment. My problem was that every other line the fonts wiggle sidewards towards the right as if it were on italics.

To correct this, simply download the LX300-II ESC/P driver then update your printer driver by re-installing it using your device manager.

Epson lx300+ii with serial port to fujitsu pc

use the com1, and use a baud rate like 9600, with 8 and 1 bit stop. dont. be sure that is in ESC/P or IBM as you requiered. if your software use directly the serial port, be sure that the bios set up is properly. i think that the lx300+ have less buffer than lx300+2
and if you use high speed, could loose info.

Printer not Print data in English Language

Hi, you may want to reset/restore the Epson LX300 to default settings. This can be done by pressing down on the FONT button while powering on the printer. If done right the LX300 will print a test page with the firmware version. It is also possible that the drivers are corrupted. In Start, Printers & Faxes, delete the LX300 printer, restart your PC and then re-install via Add Printer. In some cases, defective parallel cable can also cause problems. Unfortunately the only sure way of checking is by replacing the printer/parallel cable with a known good/operation cable. If the printer would really be requiring service, a Service Manual is available at (http://www.eserviceinfo.com/index.php?what=search2&searchstring=DPA-300) Hope this be of some help to you. Good luck and pls post again how things turn up.

DOT MATRIX PRINTER PROBLEM

Hi, to perform a self-test on an Epson LX300 > start with the power switch off. Press LF/FF (middle switch), without releasing that button, power on the printer. If everything is ok it will print a sel-test page. To do a Hex Dump > start at power off, simultaneously press Font and the LF/FF buttons (left & middle buttons), then power on; to revert the printer to its factory default setting(s) > start in off position, press Font (left) button then power on. (Slightly different with an LX300+) Hope this works out for you. Cheers.
