I have a sony SXRD KDS-R60XBR@ tv. It wont turn on. When I hit the power , the power lite flash's green as it fres, just as the lamp lites there is an internal click, the fan goes off, the lamp shuts off and the power flash's 4 red sequence. I have un lpugged to try to reset, no luck.

Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV requires service.
From what I've been able to find, the problem is the fan that cools the bulb is not starting when you turn the tv on. Blow on it to get it going or clean with compressed air. The fan could be clogged up with lint etc. It's on the rear left of the tv.
I have a Sony KDS-R60XBR2 60" SXRD and the power/standby light flashes green 96 times than it switches to a RED lamp light that flashes steady. Do you know what it means?
