I just figured out that you had to press the Fn key and the RIGHT ARROW key to increase the brightness and the LEFT ARROW key to decrease it ( and not the Up and Down arrow keys)

No display but ram and processor is okey..

1.Confirm the Gateway notebook is not powered off or in standby mode. Tap the power button to turn on or wake the computer.

2.Check the screen brightness. Hold down the "Fn" key, then tap the up arrow on the directional pad to increase the brightness of your Gateway 400's display.

3.Toggle the notebook display. If you have an external monitor hooked up to the laptop, hold down "Fn." Press "F3" until the display switches to the laptop, or until both the laptop and the external monitor display an active screen.

When plug is remove from laptop the screem get darker

This is natural. In the power settings, usually it is set to reduce the brightness when laptop is on battery power.
you can increase the brightness, but it will drain the battery quickly.
To increase or decrease brightness, use one of the buttons indicated on the keyboard with 'Fn' button on the bottom of the keyboard.

Deem light in display

Occasionally, you may find your laptop's monitor is too dim for your liking. A normal desktop computer's monitor has an on-board menu system that lets you adjust the brightness and picture control settings as you please. A laptop monitor has no such controls. You can adjust the brightness of your laptop monitor using your laptop's keyboard.

1.Press and hold the "FN" key on your laptop's keyboard. This is the "Function" key, which operates much the same way that the "Shift" key does: It allows keyboard buttons to be used for multiple purposes. It's located in the lower left corner of most laptop keyboards, next to the "Windows," "CTRL" and "ALT" keys.
2.Look at the top row of keys on your keyboard for a key with a tiny triangle pointing upwards and the symbol of a sun on it. This is the "Increase Brightness" key. With the "FN" key held down, press the "Increase Brightness" key. On most laptop keyboards this is the "F7" key, but it varies depending on the model.
3.Continue to hold down the "FN" and "Increase Brightness" key until your dim laptop monitor has reached the level of brightness you require. A laptop monitor can only get so bright. It will stop at its highest setting.
4.Release the "FN" and "Increase Brightness" keys. You have now fixed your dim laptop monitor.

I hope you find it very helpful.

When i turnon the laptop the screen i very dim i cant understand plz help me

The backlight on your laptop may be going out, but more likely someone has accidentally turned down the brightness on your laptop. Almost all laptops now have a brightness control key that is controlled by using the "Fn" key.

Look for 2 keys on your laptop that have a picture of a Sun with an arrow point up or down.

Pres and hold the "Fn" key will pressing the brightness up key will hopefully resolve your problem.

Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Problems with screen brigthness connected to hp laptop

There is a Fn key on the bottom left of your laptop keyboard (usually blue in colour)

Hold down this key whilst pressing F4 or F5 to decrease/increase brightness. The F buttons may vary slightly from laptop to laptop but they are usually indicated by a star symbol (*) with either an arrow down or up next to it.
