How to replace a filter for Holmes M1850 humidifier.

  • Barbara Petzen Dec 09, 2008

The problem isn't that we can't find a place to buy the filter--just where does the thing go? It isn't obvious, and bionaire doesn't have the manual online. This is the Bionaire WS3560--if anyone has one and can describe it, I'd be very grateful!

Replace humidifier filter

turn the unit off then take the tank off then the base which is the fan portion and the filter fits right there.. if it's a round filter then it slips right on. now if it's the squares they will slip into some slots and usually they will take about 4 if that's the case. if you have any other question please feel free to let me know.

My Bionaire Humidifier

From the user manual (which is online)

2. Clean the base by partially filling
it with one 8-oz cups of undiluted
white vinegar or by using Cleanse
CleanTM Solution (DMS216) by the
manufacturer. Leave this solution
in the tank for 20 minutes, while
cleaning all interior surfaces with a
soft brush.

Hunidifier doesn't add enough moisture to air

here is the link to the manual for the w7 - they suggest a replacement wick filter would solve the problem due to bacteria or mineral build up - i would expect this to solve your problem as the only way these wicks can not soak up the water to the top is if they are clogged or the tank is empty. try the cleaning routine on page 9 first - might be enough but the wicks probably will need replacing soon anyway. http://www.bionaire.com/manuals/W7_English.pdf Hope this helps :)
