Cannot print test page from PC on Zebra DA402 label printer
I'm having difficulty printing anything, even a test page, from the PC on my DA402 label printer. I was able to print a test page on the printer by the method specified in the user manual. However, this method of printing involves putting the printer in a diagnostic mode by holding down the power button after powering up the printer, not by sending data to the printer from the PC. If you can help resolve this issue, please let me know.

I advise you to look at other options for printing color labels. For example, you can view articles and reviews on epson colorworks. Quite a good option if you ask me. In any case, I think that the most important thing is the result and that is why I advise you to prepare and order the printer in advance.
Turn the printer off from behind, and by holding the feed button, turn it on, keeping it hold for 5 seconds, if the printer starts printing data, it means you have not properly set the driver or label software configuration.
Unreadable labels are related to the print head, make sure to clean the print head thoroughly with an alcohol swab and make sure the platen roller is clean also. After cleaning and it still is having issues scanner than you have bad sectors on your printhead.
Go to "Printers and Faxes" or "Devices and Printers" and try printing a test page by right clicking on the icon and choosing printer properties. This will better define if the problem is something wrong with the printer or connection OR if it is a software issue.
Go into the printer driver and select print a test page, does it print out? If so then try printing from your label software, it should work, if not then it is your software that is at fault. If the test page does not print out then check all the settings in the print driver, so they are the same as the physical label. If non of this helps then go to www.lancerlabels.co.uk and do a live chat to Michael.
Sounds like you put your printer into line mode. Line mode prints code so you can see what is sent to the printer to look for possible mistakes in the code.
To switch from line mode back to page mode.
Turn printer off.
Press and hold the feed button down. And switch printer on.
Release the feed button when the LED flashes red.
When the LED flashes green, press down the feed button.
When the LED flashes amber release the feed button.
Try printing now that the printer is back in page mode which is used for print your labels; line mode prints the labels code.
Do this fast or else it wont work if you are slow.
this problem will address on label and ribbon issue. you must establish your printer set-up first, meaning see to it that the label and ribbon was correctly loaded, if still problem occur try using manual calibration you can see how to do at the manuals you have..
This may be due to the barone program. Depending on the origin of the editor. To see if the problem is your barone program, get a driver from www.seagullscientific.com and try to print on your printer from word. If it works then the problem comes from your barone
