KUDS24SE KitchenAid door latch broke. How do I take the door apart

Doors for microwave ovens are usually replaced as a complete item.
I would ask the person who forgot to fix the door latches properly back to fix it properly.
If some of the clips were snapped off when removing the door panel, the panel must be replaced or it will fall out again.

remove broken switch & replace new one w/c you can easily buy from any electronic store or Radio Shack...

yes remove the top of machine and make sure the power is switcht off.;;;;;on the front of machine with your hand pushed down to the door switch ,not easy but keep trying,you will find the door switch with both hands wrigle until the door opens i know its hard and your hand will suffer but it will open keep trying,this switch needs replaced at all costs,you might have to replace the switch plus the holder .Once door is open unscrew the two screws and the whole latch will be in your hands remove the plug and you will have it in your hand ,replace backwards to what ive said,good luck psthis part/sshould cost 20 dollers.

yes .take all screws out.when door panel comes out you will see the dispenser between inner panel . check for push tabs to release dispenser,then when reinstalling make sure add lubricant around seal so it will go in easier. let me know if i was helpful.

I thought the metal bar had to be locked into place somewhere in the black latch. This was not the case. I just put the white plastic latch in place in the slot in the door and closed the panel and the metal bar went into the correct position against the black latch.
