Your start relay is mostlikey burning up.
Unplug the machine.

Remove the back panel.

There is usualy a black box with wires going to the compressor. take the black box off . it might not have a box and has a wire holding a device on it with a wire. This is the start device. Remove it carfully and inspect it. Yours might be burned up.

A new one might or might not repair your problem.
You might need a new compessor, But is worth trying a new start device.

On all post please provide : Model number and make of machine. and all information about the problem.

Smoking belt

Not knowing if you have a single serpentine belt or separate belt for the AC compressor, this is most likely the compressor bearings out. If the belt is smoking, and it has its own AC compressor belt I would recommend cutting the belt off so it does not break and cause other damage under the hood.

Mercury smokes by the belt when defrost is on.

When the defrost is on the A/C compressor is engaged .. It may have a compressor that is locking up.

Smokes and smells like gas at muffler

That has to be gas that is not being burned! No idea why blowing a fuse with the air compressor rashed your car like that - must be coincidental or collateral damage.

Ford f25 1991 the heater belt starts smoking when turn on. We do not use the air conditioner

I would take off the belt and check each pulley for free movement when the car is off. For example, if there is an air pump, it should turn freely. Or, if the alternator pulley is disconnected from the belt, it should turn relatively freely.

How do i fix constant smoke from a deutz diesel engine compressor?

Is the smoke white, blueish, or black? White smoke is either raw fuel from a misfire or antifreeze from a bad head gasket, cracked head, etc. Blueish smoke is engine oil being burned which is a sign of worn/cracked rings. Black smoke is too much fuel being burned, bad timing, or maladjusted valves.

The Air Compressor Smokes and Then turns off after a while.

sounds like the piston rings are blowing by allowing oil to get into the compression cylinder.
You should chuck it and go buy a new compressor as this one is more to fix than to replace.

Compressor is getting so hot it is smoking

Make sure you are running compressor oil in it. Not motor oil.

Smoke around belt

the smoke is coming from the belt because a part has stopped turning ...you need to check which one it is... it could be the water pump...alternator ..a/c compressor...... power steering pump or the belt tensioner.... and your going to need a new belt
