Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer
Let me paddle on over to the PC to ask this question. Our 80 series (7-8 years old) has twice in the past year not stopped filling the washer and what results is a flood!!! the first time it happened we caught it right away and chalked it up to a large load. However, it happened again yesterday. We had a small load of clothes on "medium." We have tested it since and now no problem but something's up. I would appreciate your support. Thank you.
The most common cause for this is the water mixing valve plunger sticking. the fix is to replace the mixing valve. Not so common is a defective water level pressure switch. Same fix, replace the switch. Really rare is a small leak in the tube from the tub to the pressure switch.
