Their there is no big stores as best buy or circuit city, so the only thing you should do is repair it online or send it to the company

CAN i purchase speakers for sanyo da 1000

Unless you want the same speakers for cosmetic reasons, you can get a pair of speakers from any Hi-Fi outlet. All you need to know is the max power output of the amp in watts for each channel, and the ohms it puts out. For instance if it says 8ohm 15 watts. You can get a speaker of 8ohms or higher, but not lower. And any speaker above 15 watts.
Actually you can get better quality sound from the speakers as the speakers they often put with these systems are rubbish in terms of hi-fi quality!
PS
Just had a look around the net and the output power in watts is just 8. Couldn't find the ohm rating but most are 8ohm. So any speaker higher than 8 watts will do the job.

No bass

If you hear a very high pitch hissing sound coming out from one channel then probably your amp final is gone, in that case you will need to work at component level to fix it

My jvc hx-d7 radio is turned on in 2 seconds it shuts down to protect mode how do i take protect off ?

You can't. The main amplifier module will probably have a channel blown. The unit is detecting this and tripping into protect mode to stop further damage occurring. Needs to go to a repair place. sorry. ps If you get sound briefly before it trips off then it may just be a speaker wire shorting out! worth checking

When i turn my stereo on it says protect and shuts off

Protect on the display means there is a problem with the system and the system goes into protect mode to save the system from further damage. Now the problem could be many. ...... It cud be that the speakers are shorting......It cud also be the Amplifier IC's shorting ....in short the system could be detecting an overcurrent in any one of the circuits.......... a good technician may be able to rectify the problem

RCA RS2046 CD won't play

This is what I found: It worked for me.
You can try to reset the unit using the procedure below: Let the unit sit with the AC power cord out of the wall for a couple of hours. Then hit the power button 10-15 times (with the AC power cord still out of the wall socket!) and then try again. If you continue to have problems unfortunately it sounds as though it is within the electrical assembly. It is hard to say exactly what caused it or exactly what the problem with the circuits are without having a technician look at it. If the place of purchase can not simply exchange the product you can email me your...........

Skipping

Hi,

A couple of things you can try:
  • clean the lens;
  • place a thick sponge underneath the unit;
  • relocate the speakers as far away as possible from the player;
  • check the spring that pushes down on the disc. it would be on the top cover. If at all possible, see if you can stretch it a bit.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Crosley CR83 transformer needed

Hi Meggie58,

There are a few ways to repair the damage....

1/ Obtain a genuine replacement transformer from the Crosley
company in the USA. 120volts and you must then use a
step down transformer for the Australian power supply.
2/ Obtain a locally manufactured transformer that has a 230v
Primary but the secondary is matched to the Crosley power
requirements.
This can be sorted out by your service technician..
