You can also find these advertised on craigslist.com from time to time.

Hi i just got a celestron nextar130 slt telescope and my screen on my handheld nestar computer all of a sudden doesnt show enything on it but the led lights stay on. can you help me ?

Look for a loose connection in the hand controller cable. Also the batteries must be full charge. It is better to run these using a separate 12 volt power pack than the internal batteries.

No power hand held no light on display

Make sure the batteries are good. The cable to the hand controller may be bad. You can get another cable from either Celestron or a local dealer.

If a new cable does not fix it, then either the hand controller is defective, or something on the internal circuit board. It must be returned to Celestron for this type of repair.

I just got a NexStar 60SLT from a friend and the power will not come on. (I put in new batteries.) Not even the light on the switch will illuminate, so I am assuming either a wiring/connector problem...

Celestron can fix these if you will ship them back. Could be the switch but only Celestron will have them.

Here is their contact number:

Telescope

A low voltage power supply is the usual cause. You must use fresh batteries and or a seperate 12 volt power pack.

Also you must accurately;y do all the setup-- like Time, Date, and Site properly. Read the setup in the manual again.
