Hi, the way you properly reset that deck is this. Get the removal tools, slide them in to release the deck. Once its out look in the back corner of the deck for a fuse. R -R the fuse you should hear it cycle, thats it.
The yellow wire is the constant wire, you need to find the battery + wire which will be red and hooked that to your deck, the red wire is the main 12v wire and the yellow wire is there just to use a little bit of power to keep the memory i yur deck, i.e. the time, cd position stuff like that
you can get a amp to work on any deck although u may have to rig it a little bit all u need is sound coming from the stereo and if u will take the rca one end and cut it and strip it u have a wire inside each one and then u have ground wires surrounding the inside wire twirl them up like 1 wire and then strip back the inside wire hook that one to front left pos wire and hook ground wire to front laft neg and do the other rca wire the same just hook it uo to front right or if it has rca jacks on the back of the stereo just hook ur rca wires into them and to the amp
the trick is not to use you deck to control the bass. use the amplifier and set all you radio setting to 0 this will allow you to fine tune a little audio when you need to, make all your bass tuning setting at the amp. not the deck,
Aux input on the back depends if there was a aux button on the front and the brand of deck. If one is there then you dont need Best Buy to do it. removing the deck is not as hard as people make it seem. The best way to remove the deck to check is find a manual for removal; exp: chiltons, hayne or even get it from crutchfield. Be careful though, some decks may have the aux button and a 3.5mm jack in the back but the jack is sometimes used for a remote. So get the mauals for the deck you have and the manual for removal.
