Hi Avid

Thanks for your help. I just want to confirm that my model 3370H/97 can be upgraded with the fix for the 3380? Is the software on these models the same?

There was a compatibility issue with this model. Philips released a software update for this model.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Could be that you are using the wrong type of DVD ? There are two formats DVD+R, DVD+RW etc and DVD-R, DVD-RW etc. Some machines are capable of using either, others can use one of the two formats.
My other suggestion is that some machines are picky about which manufacturer's DVDs they will use.

Trying to play a DVD I get 'Unkown' on the DVD and Not supported disk type' on the screen - and this with a DVD that I have watched before.

Each DVD player only supports either Minus- or Plus+ as an example R- Disks or R+ Disks some DVD players support both. If you get lack of support that player only supports the other type.

Are you finalizing the disks? If so, select "mastered" on the options tab. This should make the disk playable on other machines.

Playing recorded DVDs on PC or other DVD player

Recordings from your DVD recorder should play on other DVD players as long as you finalize the recording on your recorder.

A PC should recognise an un-finalized, but only in a DVD writer drive.

There is a firmware upgrade available for this model. Follow this link and select your particular country version DVDR3320/XX

Select Software & Drivers and click on the link to the zip file.

Follow the on-screen instructions.
