Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
This can be caused by a dirty laser in the drive. Try cleaning the laser with a q-tip and alcohol. If this does not fix the problem then the laser may need to be replaced. Contact Microsoft and see if the unit is still under warranty with this site: http://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/nxe/LiveIDSignIn.aspx?redirectUrl=http://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/nxe/registerdevice.aspx?step=repair
If the unit is not under warranty go to www.wiredextreme.com. We are a console repair company based in Dallas, Texas. We can clean/replace the laser for you. All our repairs come with a 90 day warranty that covers the whole unit not just what we repair. We also offer extended warranties for up to 4 years. If the laser just needs to be cleaned it is $35. If the laser needs to be replaced it is an additional $15. If you have any other questions/concerns feel free to email us at email@example.com or call 214-222-5788.
