Question about Acer Aspire™ T180 PC Desktop

1 Answer

No sound from speakers on ACER Aspire.

I checked the book as to why the speakers might not be working and double checked that the jack I plugged into was a "line-in" jack. The speaker icon shows "Volumen 100%". I can see anywhere that the "mute" is on. HELP, please!

Have you checked the sound card from bios?is there everithing ok?have you checked the driver instaled in start/run/dxdiag?do you have a sound card onboard or a stand alone one?It may be damaged too.
check all this after you are sure that in the operating sistem, windows lets say is everything ok from control panel/sounds and audio devices.
if it is not a software problem, than your card must be replaced and for this visit a specialised Acer service.they will test and recomand you the best solution
bye bye

Speakers stopped working

go to control panel then to sound, double check and see which of your audio components is set as primary output. it's possible that it has changed. if you go to device manager in control panel you can see what type of sound card you have installed. make sure it is set to primary. also if you have multiple audio jacks on the back of the machine make sure that you have the jack plugged into the green plug.

Speakers installed correctly? Check bios setup for sound not disabled. Check windows driver correct. Check for latest driver.

I have acer extensa 4220 laptop when i plug in head phones in the laptop the sound still keeps on coming from the built in speakers and not the head phones

khalid276,

I had this problem also on my acer aspire 5520. This laptop has 2 3.5mm jacks. It was a bit embarrassing, but I had the headphones plugged into the input jack. Make sure that you have the head phones jack plugged into the correct jack.

I hope this helps!

No Sound

Hello
Please go to your control panel and double click on "sounds and audio devices" then click on "Advanced" in volume tab.
Check if the volume is muted and uncheck it, also check if the volume level is low.

Also please ensure your if your speakers need to be pluged into electricity mains or if they need batteries.

If this solved your problem please rate this solution as "Solved" or ask here again in order to find another possible cause.

Thank you

No sound output from rear speaker jack

Plugging headphones into the computer will disable sound output from the sound card by design.
