Question about Acer Aspire™ T180 PC Desktop

1 Answer

No sound from speakers on ACER Aspire.

I checked the book as to why the speakers might not be working and double checked that the jack I plugged into was a "line-in" jack. The speaker icon shows "Volumen 100%". I can see anywhere that the "mute" is on. HELP, please!

Have you checked the sound card from bios?is there everithing ok?have you checked the driver instaled in start/run/dxdiag?do you have a sound card onboard or a stand alone one?It may be damaged too.
check all this after you are sure that in the operating sistem, windows lets say is everything ok from control panel/sounds and audio devices.
if it is not a software problem, than your card must be replaced and for this visit a specialised Acer service.they will test and recomand you the best solution
bye bye

You should look in the Default Devices section of the settings. But it could just be bad contacts in the jack plugs of the sound card.

Acer aspire one sound not working

Fix the headphone jack to contact headphone pin. Fix the speaker contact in headphone jack to get sound to speaker when headphone is not plugged in.

Speakers stopped working

go to control panel then to sound, double check and see which of your audio components is set as primary output. it's possible that it has changed. if you go to device manager in control panel you can see what type of sound card you have installed. make sure it is set to primary. also if you have multiple audio jacks on the back of the machine make sure that you have the jack plugged into the green plug.

I have an Acer 5610-2762, and I'm having trouble with the sound. The speaker jack works all the time, but the speakers only work occasionally. when I check the speaker, through the sound check, it says it...

first point of call is the wire into the jack plug itself ,just fidddle with it,if the speakers switch on then off you know it is the solder connection of the jack plug--this is repairable with a replacement soldered correctly-this is the most common fault--second to this is an incorrectly configured (or malfunctioning) sound card
After this, sequentialy the solder connection of the socket(where it is soldered to the motherboard) could be faulty, broken

Headphone Jack Problem

Go to the icon tray and double click the speaker icon. Have a look in the Advanced controls to see if you have taken the mute off the pc speaker. There might also be an option to play sound on the pc speaker simultaneously with the headphones. If so, uncheck the dual play box so the sound will not play through the pc speaker when you have the headphones plugged in.

Acer speakers

hello, check the volume. also the jacks are color coded. green is speakers, pink is mic, blue is line in. if this does not help, consider adding sound card(this will give a better quality of sound than onboard sound) hope this helps! good luck, glen.

No Sound

Hello
Please go to your control panel and double click on "sounds and audio devices" then click on "Advanced" in volume tab.
Check if the volume is muted and uncheck it, also check if the volume level is low.

Also please ensure your if your speakers need to be pluged into electricity mains or if they need batteries.

If this solved your problem please rate this solution as "Solved" or ask here again in order to find another possible cause.

Thank you
