How do I focus the NEC VT47 projector? I have tried to rotate the focus ring and it won't move

    I have the very same problem; I lend it and on return the focus ring wasn't moving anymore;I opened it but I can't find an easy fix :-(

    I managed with a flat screwdriver to unlock the focus ring; i forced the ring applying strentgh with the tip of the screwdriver with the projector closed. The ring now moves butI can get a blurred image or a very blurred one :-(((

I eventually fixed it; just a mechanical problem;I had to use strength to make the ring move again; How do I focus the NEC VT47 projector?  I have - 5586904.jpg
The arrow shows the direction of my movement; I had to use both hands; be very careful but also be aware that I had to put a lot of strength to manage to unlock it; good luck!

When I hook up my HP to an NEC projector it blows up the icons and screen so it makes it hard to see on the projected pic.

Try adjusting the resolution on you computer. I believe this is a native xga projector (1024 x 768)

NEC VT47 Cropped image on left side

Hi. You can press the auto adjust button on the projector and the image should return back into view. If not then try another resolution on your computer as it may not be compatible with the projector.

NEC VT47 Lamp type VT70LP will not power up 2 red lights spear Lamp not working

When the lamp exceeds 2100hoursof service, the projector cannot turn on and the manu is not displayed. Do the following:
For VT670/VT470 Press the help button on the remote control for a minimum of ten seconds.
For VT570/VT47 Press and hold the power and the exit buttons on the remote control simultaneously for a minimum of ten seconds. When the lamp time clock is reset to zero, the lamp indicator goes out. Hope this helps! :]
