Had the same problem ... Would not see my wireless router ... except when I used the e-mpower manager butten (upper right corner) ... then it would see it and connect it ... Befoe this I did a internet check and repair with the manger before and it said to TURN ON THE INTERNET SWITCH ...

I deduced it was the button by the wireless (yellow) light (between F4 & F5) ...IT WORKED ! You can check this by going to the PC's CONTROL PANEL and APPLY this FUNCTION to search for wireless connections & connect... ALSO; if you switch to another USER ... It may AUTO Reset and find the wireless router. But will go back to OFF when you go back to the MAIN user ... YOU MUST APPLY THIS FUNCTION WITH THE SWITCH ... use the Control Panel !

    Good Luck ...

Upgrade your RAM. Vista is too big if you only have 1GB of RAM.

This Network Key is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is configured in the Wireless settings in the Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way to setup the Encryption key.

I cannot find information I need to connect to my wireless hp printer I need wpa key or wep passphrase

When you installed your wireless router, you should have configured its wireless interface:
* set an SSID -- the "name" of your network
* set an encryption-level -- hint: use 'WPA' or 'WPA2'
* set a password or pass-phrase for your network

Enter the SSID/password on your HP printer, to connect it to your router.

Cannot get on internet with wii

You will need to have a wireless network, have the passcode if there is one on the wireless router to get connected. Go into Wii options, then settings, scroll over to internet. connection settings, look for the wirless connection and click on it. Do a connection test, if that does not work, go into change settings. You will need to wireless router name, called the SSID, you will need to know if the security if WEP, WPA-PSK (TKIP) or (AES), or WPA2PSK. Choose the correct setting and click on it. Put the passcode or passphrase in the field and press confirm. You will also need to know if your wireless router automatically assigns an IP address (DCHP enabled) or you have to put an IP address in (Static IP). Once you have all these settings correct, you should be able to connect. If you have questions about this information, you will need to talk to the person who set up the wireless network.

Let me know if you have any specific questions about this explanation.

I cannot connect ipod touch to the internet through d-link DIR-600 wireless router

If you know your password for your wireless and other wireless devices can connect to the wireless network, check the type of security you're using. All apple media devices (ipad, iphone, itouch) have issues with multi key WEP encryptions on some routers. Try changing the encryption type on the router to WPA, or if available, disable the extra three keys in the router (usually 4 listed).

I have a wireless Netgear router. Everyone around

depending on your type of netgear router, the way you enter the setup is different. I use a netgear router and th emeens of access is to type in your web browser

Your internet provider does not have anything to do with your local security settings.

you will need to go to the wireless settings link to choose a security type. I recommend you to use at minimum WPA-PSK(TKIP) You will then choose a pass phrase of 8 characters. This will stop the unauthorized access.
You will be asked for the pass phrase when connecting to your network.
If you need any other help, please just reply.

XBOX LIve help - wireless network adapter

Go to your Airport Utility, then Option-Click the radio setting button to reveal a drop down menu, from there, select "b/g compatible", not "n (b/g compatible)". That takes away the benefits of an 802.11 n network, but it gets the job done with 54 Mbps.

Next up is to Option-Click the button for encryption setting and select "WPA Personal". In DHCP settings under Internet, using the 360's MAC address, reserve an IP so it stays consistent. Finally, in your NAT options, select the 360's IP address as the "Default Host" to prevent any Live functionality issues, and restart your Extreme Base Station. Once you go to the network settings on your System blade, you should see your WPA-encrypted network show up. So your 360 and Airport Extreme can work together with encryption, although you kind of neuter the Base Station in the process.

All started with wireless router (Belkin)

Actually, is does **t really matter what computer *********** in law has or whether she has a computer or **t. Your wireless connection is **t with her computer, it is with the router.

I take it for granted that the router has got a wireless facility , since you said you set it up. Your computer must then also be wireless enabled (internal or Using an USB Dongle).

Set the connection type on the router and your computer as such that there is ** authorization or encryption involved - once you got that working please the ensure that you activate authorization and encryption for security reasons
