Honestly... Just Pull it back off and switch it around.... it may feel like your gonna break your tone arm but just pull at the weight and it will give before your tone arm does... but BE CAREFUL!!!

One channel on my sl1200 mk 2 has very minimal sound out put. I have to turn my balance selector on my reciever almost full right to balance the volume. Any insight to this problem is...

As a test, switch the right and left RCA cables from the turntable to the amp. If the problem reverses, the issue is in the turntable or with the cables. If it stays the same, its a problem with the amp.

When i play a record it skips and when i play it on another turntable the same record doesnt skip

Hi, most likely a worn stylus or the tracking weight is set too lightly. Adjust the balance weight at the back end of tonearm forward slightly. If no weight adjustment available put a very small coin on the end of tonearm above the stylus. styluscity@gmail.com

How to install shure m44-7 cartridge on technic sl 1200.ive aproblem with the wt.,as i feel the shure cartridge is lighter then other cartridges do ihave to install extra wt. with the cartridge

No, you should not need to install extra weights. Adjust the tomearm counterweight (on the back of the tonearm).
Install new cartridge.
Set tracking force dial to zero.
Adjust counter weight so tonearm floats vertically. This is the balance point.
Dial in tracking force, 1 to 3 grams.
If you cannot achieve balance point then you may have to add weight between the cartridge and the cartridge mount

Stylus pressure set in terms of manual but arm continues to skate across vinal

Sounds like the stylus has been damaged. Perhaps when you were adjusting or installing the stylus, it might have gotten damaged. The stylus will only slide across a record like that when the actual tip is either damaged or no longer present.

Check your stylus first and foremost. If you still see the tip, then try adjusting the balance weight - the big weight towards the rear of the tonearm.
