I used INSTALLER to uninstall KATE and one other app, the name of which escapes me. Now the keypad for the phone works fine and I had voicemails I didn't even know about. Seems to be a weird conflict with third party apps.

I had the same problem but managed to solve it.It is caused by a game / application you will have installed on your phone, I cant tell you which one but one of them is the cause of the problem. You dont have to restore the phone but I solved it by ruthlessly uninstalling most of the games and apps I had downloaded on the iphone then rebooted.I uninstalled about half my downloads before the phone behaved normally, now its perfect.Obviously I lost of apps / games but what good is a phone if it wont phone out, It took me ages to find this solution but it works.

You seem to have the same issue i had once before - you will need to upgrade your iphone to 1.1.3 BUT if you are not an att user you will not be able to unlock / use the turbosim to use the phone.
The baseband will be upgraded.

Hopefully you are AT&T client, then all will be good

Goes to voice main on first try on second try rings

According to iPhone faq.org: " How can set the number of rings on my iPhone before voicemail picks up?
You can set the iPhone to wait longer or shorter than the default 20 seconds before it goes to voicemail when receiving an incoming call. This will result in a different number of rings before the voice messaging system picks up the line and plays your outgoing message. To change the amount of time the iPhone will ring follow these steps:
1. Open the phone app and dial *#61# on the Keypad. Press the Call button.
2. Locate this text on the screen: "Setting Interrogation Succeeded, Voice Call Forwarding, When Unanswered, Forwards to +" and record the 11-digit number after the + symbol.
3. Touch the Dismiss button. Now enter this code on the Keypad: *61*+ followed by the 11-digit Forwards to number recorded in step 2, followed by *11 and *ringtime#. Ringtime is the number of seconds you want your iPhone to ring before voicemail picks up. Your finished code should look something like this:
*61*+18555513466*11*30#
In the example above the ring time is set to 30 seconds. Press the Call button.
4. You should receive the message: Setting Activation Succeeded. Press Dismiss and next time you receive a call it will ring for the new amount of time before going to voicemail."
According to Apple Tool Box.com: "having this problem, please try the followings:
  • Make sure that iPhone's Ring/Silent switch is OFF meaning ringer is ON. A bell will flash briefly on the screen when you turn on the ringer.
  • Make sure that the Do Not Disturb setting is not silencing calls (Settings > Do Not Disturb).
  • Make sure that Airplane Mode is OFF (Settings > Airplane Mode).
  • Make sure that your carrier software is up to date (Settings > General > About)."

Tip

Set iPhone+Others for how many rings before voicemail picks up

By default, the iPhone rings 15 seconds before going to voicemail.

1. Figure out your voicemail access number. Dial *#61# and then press Call on your iPhone's keypad. The first block of text you'll see on the screen that comes up will be:
Setting Interrogation Succeeded
Voice Call Forwarding
When Unanswered
Forwards to +1XXXXXXXXXX Enabled
Where +1XXXXXXXXXX is shown as an actual number - write this number down because you'll need it in the next steps.

2. Dial *61*+1XXXXXXXXXX*11*tt# where +1XXXXXXXXXX is the number you wrote down from the first step above and tt is the length of time in seconds for which you want your iPhone to ring. To get the + sign to show up, hold down the 0 key for a couple of seconds and release it when it turns into the + sign in the readout above. Then press Call.

My blue ok button on my nokia n95 keypad suddenly not working. Top left hand side above green button.Means i cant text and add contact to send. All other buttons and functions working. How can i fix this?

This could happen often when a phone was accidentally drop or fell or there's is something being installed in the phone system that is being corrupted. To solve this kind of problem is to deep reset all the settings of the phone. It will clear or delete the files inside. Be sure to back-up all the important files in your phone like contacts. To do this just simply dial this number in your phone, *#7370# or *#7780# and it will show a message like "Restore all original settings" and phone will restart. Press okay and then enter this code 12345 which is the default. The phone will restart and reset the phone to the original settings.

Please don't forget to rate this solution..Thanks..:-)

Iphone keypad stopped working

I believe this problem persists after you have jailbreak
Your iphone . Now since you have done it the next step
Is to install a Ripdev application from the installer module. After
You have installed it successfully then you go to your iphone settings.
Here you will see Ripdev application installed then touch it to expand it more. Then here you will see Ripdev products, again you touch it
to expand and then you will notice a title which says Licenses
there you have to touch the Kate application and after that
you have to touch "purchase Authorization code" or for trail bases just touch the application which says “Ask for Trial License” after that
go to the iphone module that is the key pad and you will see
its working fine.
In short after jailbreaking and installing Rip Dev you have to purchase
That application to get your keypad working.
With this 100% your problem will be solved.
